So Far - So Good - But not so much after 5 months of use.
I have been using this since December of 2024. Did a lot of research online and found that process to be very confusing, and prices get way out of control real fast. Watch the model numbers - it is almost impossible to find out (even from You Tube) exactly what the vacs in each series do as well as which are the most up to date model. More on that later. I plan on updating this post after I've put some miles on it, but so far it is help me keep my yellow labs dog hair picked up off of dark wooden floors. One other note - don't expect it to be perfect. It can't get everything you can get to with a regular vacuum. Also, decide what is most important and stick to it! Some of the things I was looking for in this vac was overall good reviews, HEPA filter, bagless, and two brushes. I was not looking for the mop feature at all !!!!!!One other note - I wanted one with two edge brushes and returned the first one I bought because it didn't have that feature. When I saw that this one did list two brushes, I jumped at it because it had everything else I wanted. The two brushes meant that it came with a replacement brush. I did not return and wished I could have found a reasonably priced one with all of these features.Update - April 2025I initially gave this vac a 5-star review and agreed with many others that it is a "game changer." After using the vac for a few months now - I'm not so sure. The vac cleans the best on the Matrix clean option, but that is only offered when you choose one room at a time. Since it is a longer process (but does a thorough job) the battery life for one room is terrible. I am always in the situation of the vac not finishing an area, taking 3 or more hours to recharge, and having to get out a stick vacuum to finish the job. Then if it finishes in the middle of the night, it will resume cleaning, and I have to send it back to the dock. Also, the edge brush seems to be wearing out quickly.I wanted this vacuum to help with yellow dog hair n dark wood floors, and while it does make a difference, I still have to get the sections it missed. I have remapped my house three times to maximize the best possible layout. So, I am changing my rating to 3 stars.

Impressive Robot Cleaner!
I ordered the Shark Vacuum & Mop robot last month and was so impressed with it's performance that I ordered this model for upstairs. What amazes and impresses me is its coverage. When you first use robot, it "maps" the areas you want cleaned and on subsequent cleaning it vacuums all of the mapped areas. Shark makes excellent products, and this vacuum robot has far exceeded my expectations.

Build Quality and Durability is an Issue
Did a lot of research online and thought that this would be the best option to help deal with the fur from two large and furry dogs. Initially, I had no issues with getting the unit set up although it is a little sensitive with regard to Wifi connectivity. It did work well in picking up the majority of the hair although still required follow-up manual cleaning of edges (which I fully expected). So...initially...we were very happy with it....BUT....Very quickly (within less than a week) it started to need significant daily maintenance beyond just emptying the dust collector, needed to have hair removed from wheels, brushes/brush roller cleaned and/or replaced. Given that this is a "pet" model I would expect that it would have been designed to handle pet hair which was sadly not the case. Now after approx. 4 months of use (probably less), it has stopped working because of an issue with a side wheel that is requiring the replacement of the side wheel and motor assembly (which is covered under warranty). This speaks to the build quality and durability of this product. Given these issues - I am very concerned that it will last once it's out of warranty. And we've checked, replacement parts are not available from Shark, once out of warranty.

More to know about the SharkClean App
We recently purchased a Shark Detect Pro RV2820AE to replace an IRobot I3. The I3 consistently got stuck, confused, or ran out of power which required us to manually move it to home one or more times per cleaning.I read a lot of reviews of the Shark AI and Detect Pro (DP) products. I believe that they accurately represented the abilities of the products in the context of not doing what the I3 was doing. Of course, this is like comparing a Yugo to a Lexus, so you expect more. What I didn’t expect, and the reviews for the most part didn’t cover is the Shark App. To me, it is lacking. Specifically concerning setting up the map, scheduling and do not disturb, a nitpick.I seem to remember only one review mentioned that the map was difficult to set up. I found this to be true. When making a change, rooms previously set up and zones disappeared. I had to recreate those items several times as I fine-tuned the map. I contacted Shark support to discuss this issue and the others. I’m happy to report that Shark answered promptly and I got a tech immediately. This was great. She did say that Shark is aware of this issue and working to resolve it.The biggest disappointment was with the scheduling. You can only schedule one cleaning per day and can’t specify which rooms are cleaned. This causes me to clean rooms each time that don’t need multiple cleanings a week. It elongates the run time so it goes home to charge, according to Shark, for three hours minimum, before it resumes. What I found was that it took 4 hours 20 minutes before it restarted. I found that by reducing the cleaning power to eco, which does a good job and ramps up the vacuum when necessary, it cleaned the full house with no recharges in about 2 hours.I did avoid some rooms using no-go zones but have to remove them when I want to clean the room.I could schedule multiple cleansing a day and specify rooms to clean with the IRobot app.Well, one more issue with the app, because I could not specify rooms to clean and it ran out of battery when vacuuming at the middle setting and had to charge, it also ran into do not disturb time. I was hopeful that it would resume cleaning after d-n-d time. It did not so one room was not cleaned that needed cleaning. I had to manually start the cleaning.Since the DP eliminates the frustrating problems we had with the I3, we plan to keep the DP. Hopefully, Shark will improve the App.Bottom line, if your house area is below 850 to 900 square feet, and you use the eco setting this product will clean your floors without recharging. If you have a larger house and can tolerate it running for about two hours and then recharging for a long time before it resumes cleaning. In both cases, I believe this product will work well for you.
