BEAUTIFUL KITE!
I was completely blown away by this kite. Like I used to fly kites as a kid and they were the ones you paid a dollar or so for. So this one is like 30 bucks or more, so I get it. But I was expecting what I had as a kid, but this kite has a dang reel. I was so impressed. I didn't realize that professional kite flying was a thing. lol. This is a great quality kite and it is so beautiful. The only down side to it is that the reel tangles easily. But I feel like that might be user(s) error because I have never had a reel connected to my kite. This kite is superior to all other kites I have had in my life.

Nice colorful rainbow design
My son loves it. The kite string wheel can be a bit difficult to use but overall this was a nice purchase for my 4 year old son. Hopefully we will get a lot of use out of it.

Appealing kite and fancy spool but takes a little getting used to the spool
The kite itself is nice and easy to assemble. It's not like your cheap beach shop kites with plastic material like that of a plastic bag, it's more of a fabric vinyl type of material that I would imagine and assume to be more durable and higher quality. It doesn't feel like it would rip or stretch out between assembly and disassembling and that is all fine and dandy. We took it on a beach vacation where there was always a steady wind and plenty of space and with a nice gust this is simple to get flying! I really like the idea of the spool but it's not perfect. Maybe that's just my novice kite experience since I was only used to your typical cheap spool where you have to keep twisting around the string to reel it back in.This spool has a nice metal clip to make it simple to attach and detach from the kite. What it didn't do was give instruction on how to first use it. You hear clinking as the ball bearings can shift around when just moving the spool around without operating it. That's normal and was consistent between 2 different kites from different companies that both seem to include this type of spool. You have to look at the handle that comes collapsed in the spool and notice a little spring. So you have to press that handle to squeeze that spring and in doing so, the handle will be able to unlatch and allow for the spool to be used. Its simple when you get it but frustrating at first since I had no instruction on how this was supposed to work.Additionally with the spool it can be easy to tangle because at least on this one there doesn't look like anything to help keep the string from unwinding on the spool if you ever get a moment of slack in your string line. So at the beach my wife was using this and for a moment that happened, more string drooped off the spool then the line whet taught again and the excess string got all bound around some of the feeder loop and handle parts making for a several minute struggle to untangle when we got the kite back down and detached.I love the idea behind this spool but maybe we need more practice to avoid that type of pitfall. It just seemed too easy for any slack to droop off the spool and introduce tangles. But all in all for the $22 price this is a solid kite and spool! Our kids are 4 and I would not let them try and operate this one without our direct assistance because of the size of the kite and nuances we experienced as novice adults with this spool. I don't have older kids but I would ballpark an 8 year old as a minimum for operating this on their own to avoid the spool getting all tangled up

Big!
Vine reviewer here giving you my honest hands-on review and inspection of the product you are considering. This kite is way bigger than I expected and I am very pleased about that. It hasn't been flown yet. This is for an afterschool or lunch time kite flying club I am going to put together. I am so excited about this idea. My middle schoolers will be thrilled! I figured I will start off with a few of my own kites, and other students may follow my lead, buying one's that they love. This kite is an angry looking eagle and it's size is ominous. I love it. It's well made. The reel is very nice with good quality string. I am not an expert on kite flying at all, but this looks and feels like a good kite. It's super simple to put together, but I saw no instructions at all. I wish there was a little something to guide a novice like me. I do like that the box it comes in is thick and sturdy, this will help keep the kite and its parts in one place. The price is decent for the enjoyment you will get from days of kite flying. I cannot wait to get this in the air.

It's a kite
Slightly more work than a typical starter kite, and it does not come with any instructions. It was still simple enough to figure out, but be aware if this is your first kite, or if you're getting it for a younger child. The construction and materials of the kite itself are sturdy. It doesn't bend easily, and feels like it will have a nice long life. The head of the eagle has a plastic film to prevent it from getting dirty or banged up if it crashes. The string is a standard nylon strong, it's the just reel that's fancy. And be careful of that. It didn't come with enough tension on it to start, and the moment my son opened it he tangled the first foot or two. Make sure that it has tension on it at all times, or it will fall off the reel and begin to tangle. Same goes for when you're reeling it in.The clasp that connects the kite to the string is really stiff, which means it won't pop out by accident, but it's hard to get on and off. Younger children will definitely need assistance. This was for my 14 year old, and he barely managed it on his own.

Good Quality Flyer
We got this for a beach vacation and had to try it out. Our 6 year old daughter picked the butterfly option and it's definitely right up her alley. The part I like best is that everything is highly re-usable. None of this kit is a one time use plastic kit. This is a fabric kite, and a relatively well made one. The fabrication and seams are very well done with no visible or functional flaws. The reel is pretty sweet too! This really makes it super fast and easy to let out or take in line while locking position and giving you a very comfortable grip. I highly recommend this for any novice kite flyer who is looking for a kite they can use over and over again.

Well made kite and very colorful. The reel winder hand opening is on the small side.
The kite has brilliant colors and is sewn together quite nicely. The reel winder has braided kite string that will not twist and a handy swivel for attaching to the kite. The ball bearings in the winder make it easy to wind and there is a positive reel lock to keep it from unwinding unintentionally. The only complaint I have is that the opening for your hand in the reel is too small for me to hold comfortably. That is likely as it is designed for a child, and I am an adult. Otherwise it is a fine rig.
