Want a flat surface? Get this flattening jig now!
Rockler does it again. I bought this before I had a powered planer or drum sander. I was really tired of not having flat surfaces for my woodworking projects and didn't want to spend a lot of money. This fit the bill. It was easy to assemble and with my router I was able to attain a true and flat surface. As with every Rockler tool I own, this is well built.

Don’t waste your money
Almost no vertical adjustment room for router. Base plate and holder are so thick, it is virtually impossible to adjust without shimming and reshimming work piece.

Too little information using this jig.
Poor description of uses. It is promoted/shown (perhaps secondarily) to be a router (juice) groove jig, but it does NOT say for that use it can be problematic. To use as designed, once in the jig rails for routing your machine is running, which is fine for flattening or if you are starting from the work piece edge. For grooving or starting from inside work piece, instructions are still to have the router locked in rails and running. Also, information on max height of work piece is limited unless you raise the setup. Finally, information on which routers it will work on should be easier to access. As stated in the title, I feel there is too little information on using this jig, which otherwise seems sturdy enough, well-made, and not too difficult to assemble.

Product defective and description incorrect
Product does not match description and rails are not cut right. Rails do not slide the way they are supposed to. Sounds like nails on a chalk board.
