Colonial CandleUnscented Taper Candle, Handipt Collection, Black, 10 in, Pack of 12 - Up to 8 Hours Burn

I purchased this product for a wedding hoping to find a "different" color than what is in my local craft stores. As an event planner I don't care as much about the "quality" of a candle but rather I just need it to look "pretty". At the end of the day it's all wax and it all melts when it gets hot! Lol. On my computer screen this candle appears to be a beautiful dark plum-ish/berry-ish/burgundy-ish colored candle. The description does not specify a color other than the word "Mulberry" . In reality to the naked eye this candle is simply burgundy. I'm disappointed because I'm not a fan of shopping online for products that I have never seen in person and I had to wait five days and pay $50.00 (crazy expensive) for only 12 candles that are not even the same color that I thought they would be. In fact, my local craft store has a richer darker shade of burgundy than this candle, it's about two inches taller than this one and only cost $1.77 per candle! These are on their way back to you Amazon ! I wish there was a better way to see the product before ordering to avoid having to pay shipping on an item that's not even what you need.

Used these candles in these ornate holders when we had dinner company. 90 minutes after lighting these new candles had burned all the way down to the base and also made a huge mess of dripping wax all over the sill and the holders. Burned dangerously fast. Very unsatisfactory and would like my money back. Will not ever get all the dripped was off these holders.

I have purchased Colonial Candle tapers for years and proudly used them on my dining room table when entertaining family and friends. What a disappointment to see such a clear decline in quality. The colors arenot the same depth of pigment probably because the base candle color is now white. Yet the company continues to charge the same price.There are many other options out there and this will definitely be my last Colonial Candle purchase. To add to the disappointment, the box was also damaged and three candles were broken(this is how I realized they were white candles dipped in orange.) Reordered using my fast Amazon credit on this purchase and couldn’t be happier with the Root candles that arrived today!

I'm very happy with these candles. Although pricey, the quality appears to be excellent! They come in a very nice package and they arrived in good condition. None of them are bent or curved (unlike so many other candles). They are uniform in size and color. I LOVE that they are one color all the way through instead of being a white core dipped in a colored coating that not only looks bad when burned, but cracks and falls off. I'm extremely glad they are unscented! They look great in my candelabras. I would really love to burn them, as I think they would look even more beautiful, but I don't know if I will because of the expense; I might just have to keep them for decoration purposes only.

I appreciate how carefully the candles are packaged, however, the pumpkin color is much lighter than what is shown. Disappointed, I may return them.

I love Colonial Candles - always long-lived, dripless, with great colors. These arrived quickly and in perfect condition.

I have used these candles on my dining room table for decades. They are attractive, burn well, and last a long time. I recommend them!

The color shown was was a deeper orange and would have been preferred.

The candles are as advertised - they burn well and they hardly dripped. I would definitely buy again.
