First and foremost, I got this device (Sonoff WiFi Switch - Basic) from DeviceKart and the Seller's packing was very good. The product was in a sealed and original pack.I had no issues installing. Works like a charm.Tip: In case if there is no internet, the device will not interact. Therefore, you need to change the default state to ON in the settings. This is a one-time settling you need to do. This will ensure that it works like a normal switch when there is no internet.My main use is with Amazon's Echo. I have set the device name as Lamp. My voice command is "Alexa Lamp ON". Likewise, Lamp OFF. As simple as that. No special programing required.Enjoy!!!

Product is really good and easy to install. Only drawback is that the app won't be logged in always. I think once in two days the session will be expired and one need to login to ensure Google assistant or Alexa is connected. It cannot go inside the board because we need the switch physically available to switch on incase we don't have the connected device around. Overall good product. I have been using this switch more than two months.

Working flawlessly! I brought this device on July 2018 till now working flawlessly. I'm using this device to control my main gate light for that I had to set an On/Off timer at morning and evening by evlink app and connect this switch to inverter supply by this you don't have to Always connected to internet To set timer once just make a hotspot with another phone which work as a wifi hotspot or simpally use your router WiFi and use secondary phone with evelink installed app and add sonoff switch to your account. You can easily set scheduled timer or use Google assistant by saying "ok Google turn on gate light" or for status "is my gate light on" for Google assistant you just have to attach your Smart welink account with Google assistant first and your lights will On/Off automatically by its built in timer Or with your voice commands, if your timer gets out of sync just open the ewelink appand connect sonoff device to its first hotspot and it will sync the sonoff internal clock automatically from the internet. Highly recommended product for "automation" of your appliances at home. Very easy to setup and connecting with WiFi via App is very simple.This also works for geysers and I use it for that for more than 4 months now. Do not trust the negative reviews saying that this does not work for heavy appliances.

I have brought this device in the month of Feb 2018. It seemed to work fine for a month but afterwards it started giving all sorts of issues. All the existing owners of sonoff switches already know for a time period of may 2018 to sep 2018 these device servers had stopped working completely. They upgraded there app and everything started working. Once again for around a week it started doing all kind of drama. I am not just judging one device here. After purchasing the single device in the month of Feb I was happy about it and ordered 4 dual switches from Sonoff website as it was available for 1000 and Amazon has it for 1500. Now I am completely stuck with these devices and they do not listen to me at all. From the app there will be a message network unavailable but if you restart the device 30% of the time it gets resolved but 30% is not what I have ordered these products for. A good thing about Alexa is when the sonoff app fails alexa comes to the rescue and to my surprise it listens to Alexa that too 50% of the time it doesnt. I have checked there website to overcome the network unavailable issue and they state that we have to "PARSE" some domains and it can be done by the network provider ACT bangalore and Airtel has no idea about it (You know our tech in ISP's). Now whenever I say to turn off or turn on the device it just says check power and network. So I am stuck with one single switch and 4 dual switches which is of no use. Another thing that I would like to add is if you are planning to buy dual switch just dont do it because the circuit of dual is such that there is a live and neutral IN and 2 live and 2 neutral out, hence the input is from one power switch. So if you turn on the power the signal would be available for both the devices and the automation of turning on or off does not work so either both of your devices are on or off if you choose to use the manual switch.

However, it is a pain when internet fails and also not everyone is comfortable in either giving a voice command or picking the phone for a simple power on/off. Second the basic switch doesn't have an on/off indicator. So I have connected an led with appropriate conversion to power on whenever we switch it on. This is essential in cases like water motor where we may forget to switch off leading to overflow. I have also got a device that can drive the ac. I have both Alexa and ghome. Other brand wifi switches and IR blaster all integrated to voice commands. If you want to start iot, start with this switch.
