It has sparked my interest in Bonsai
I received an early copy of this book.I have always been interested in trying bonsai, so when I had the opportunity to review this book, I jumped at the chance. Even though I'm a vegetable gardener, I have no previous experience with the art of growing these beautiful, tiny trees.Overall, I felt this book was well-written and easy to read. It covered all the important points I will need to get started. I especially like the section about how this art form can be a form of mindfulness and how it can be used in building resilience. The list of additional resources was lengthy. My only complaint is that I am more of a visual learner. I would have benefited from more of the demonstration-type drawings/pictures.So, am I ready to jump into the art of bonsai… Yes! I found a local bonsai nursery in my city and await the next beginner class they offer. Between the new class and the information in this book, I think I should be on the right path to an enjoyable hobby.

Just what I needed to get started.
I have always had a love for bonsai, and wanted to try to grow and care for my own plant. After research online and many failed attempts, I grew frustrated and was wondering what I was doing wrong.I came across this book "Bonsai Made Easy." After reading the book I found out about proper watering of a new tree. In my case I was really over watering my previous plants. The book very thorough and is laid out in an easy to follow format which is great for a novice like me. I especially like the 5-step plan on getting started.Wish me luck as I'm about to get started on a new bonsai project. I'm glad I got this book to help me get started the right way, and to use as a trusted reference as my plant grows and matures over time.

A must have book with the right information!
This book is really well written. It has the beginner in mind, but adds enough material I think for even seasoned bonsai growers to get much out of it. The book has just the right amount of technical information mixed in with philosophical information to make the book feel very satisfying to read. As someone just getting started in the world of bonsai, this book could not have been published at a better time and I’m very grateful for the opportunity to have been able to read an early release. I asked the author within very few days when it would be available as a physical book that I could add to my library permanently. Well worth the purchase well worth the read get it and get growing!

Easy to read and understand, mostly text.
This book is not a picture book, but largely text and pencil drawings. It's fairly easy to read and understand. Points out common mistakes of bonsai gardening and how to properly select, prepare and care for your plant. I haven't had time to read in detail, nor do I have an actual bonsai to try the techniques out with at this time, but the book seems well thought-out and informative. It also explores some more esoteric concepts regarding the benefits to the person raising bonsai. Nothing surprisingly new regarding care over other books I've read, but, overall, nice job going over the ins and outs.

Great book for beginners and others
This is a great book for beginners and others in the hobby. The book covers the usual information found in beginner bonsai books, but also covers exhibitions, photography, and social media. The book is well written and easy to.read. My only real complaints are that it could use more illustrations (or some photos), and that there is not any species specific information for beginners. That said, it is worth having this book in your library or book collection for the information I have.not seen in other books. I would recommend pairing this book with the beginners book by Collin Louis.
