Helped me talk from north Georgia to Costa Rica, Belize, and Trinidad & Tobago!
No, really, I really did use this string to talk to Costa Rica, Belize, and Trinidad & Tobago. I slung it up in a tree to use as a winch line to lift about 33 feet of 24-AWG wire I scavenged from an old Ethernet cable straight up into the tree; between that being in the tree and the other, shield-connected wire being stripped bare on one end and tossed into the Toccoa River, I had a fairly operable portable antenna for ham radio use on 40 meters on up to about 12 meters using an inexpensive $60-at-the-swap-meet MFJ tuner.Beyond that, it's string. It's orange. It fluoresces under ultraviolet light. What more could you want? I did NOT experience the issues I read about in the negative reviews of (either this product or others similar to it), and I didn't have much trouble finding the end of the line... since I needed about 70 feet of it on first use, it didn't matter that I cheated and pulled a strand off the top end of the spool to unravel in two directions until I found the end.I had no qualms about its tensile strength; it did not break under my very light usage, but I wouldn't be worried about pulling up to about 20 pounds with it. Probably more. Go ahead and use it for pulling a straight line for fencing or whatever. If it breaks, you're doing it wrong.Edit: the "spool" it comes on is just a cardboard tube with no end supports. It's not meant for repeated use: spools like these usually are used in machines. If you're using it repeatedly and moving it around, the string *WILL* loosen and literally slide off the ends, winding up (pun not intended) in a tangled mess. If you're using this for repeated and temporary use, I do very much recommend finding an old wire spool with the end flats to transfer this to. It will hold the line on the spool to prevent frustration from that tendency to slip off the ends.

Bright, durable.
Overall the string is bright and seemingly durable. I am not sure how long the color holds up outside, as I have not used it that long. Overall, good purchase for a good price.

Thick line.
Braided nylon, appears to be strong, hopefully it will hold up to UV light in the garden.
