I've finally bought one of these ladders after seeing various workmen using them. It's ideal for storing in the house and it takes up little space. It's great not having to traipse out to the garden shed for my old rafty bulky stepladder every time I need to access my loft.It goes in the car boot easily, it's light to carry, it's well made and sturdy. It's also smooth to extend and has a good positive locking action.It's extra secure with the supplied steady bar and detachable hooks. Well worth the the money.

Instructions for assembly are minimal. The ladder is very good for the price and does the job I bought it for very well. A point to note is if you fit the balance bar to the foot and plastic rubbing strip to the top frame the bolts will protrude from the nuts and could cause an injury as there is no plastic capping provided.

Very impressed with this ladder, solid, safe and takes up very little space, I used to be scared using our old ladder going into the loft and on the flat roof, as long as you use it as per instructions much better than any other ladder that I have ever used. Big advantage is also the size, could pop it in the car boot if I wanted to, brilliant.

Okay , you have to get use to how it exstend and retracts but very sturdy and compact

Needed a loft ladder and having looked at a lot of ladders and read the reviews,I opted for these.As soon as they arrived I opened the box, attached the balance bar and used them to survey my new loft. Very happy with my purchase and the quality. They arrived 2 days earlier than advised which was a bonus.
