Incredible Value for Retro Gaming Fans
This handheld console is an amazing find. The screen is super clear, and there’s plenty of space with the built-in 64GB card and lots of games to choose from, all working smoothly. The unit is well-designed and feels great in hand, and it’s solid for its price. The controls are very responsive, and the thumb joystick feels high quality. Anbernic really delivers huge value at this price point, with more than enough buttons to handle all the games I want to play. It’s rechargeable, and the battery lasts a long time, making it perfect for hours of fun for the family. Comes in multiple colors too. Highly recommend!

Games Glitch, Won’t Hold Charge
Don’t recommend buying. The material and joystick are great. The screen is great. But the loaded games are glitching all the time and I can’t go past certain likes (like level 2!). Also, after the battery died, I can’t seem to get it to hold a charge at all. I plan on returning for a refund.

Great Device!!
My wife gifted me an RG40xxv, and I love it. The IPS screen has a very high and clear resolution for its 4" screen size, and the ergonomics feel great in the hands, even after playing for a while, and I have large hands. The console is light, but the quality feels good. I read reviews on this listing that the battery life is not good, but I haven't had any issues. However, I heard dropping this device may ruin the screen internals easily, so be very careful not to drop it. The games included on the SD card are random and fun but may not be the ones you are looking to play; note that most, if not all, Nintendo-licensed games will NOT be included... ie.) Pokemon, Mario, etc are games that will need to be added yourself. Highly recommend!

Works great, awesome gift, SD card reader is a must
This is an awesome product. It came on time and worked exactly as advertised. I gave it as a gift to my brother, and he hasn’t been able to put it down. There are a few things I do want to point out. The library of games is very vast, but lackluster. If you want to play the games you actually want you’re gonna have to look for the ROMs and download them manually. This fortunately is very easy to do if you’re tech savvy, but it does require the know-how and having a computer with an SD card reader/an SD card adapter (so if you don’t have one you kinda need to purchase one). I also recommend that if you are planning to give it as a gift, you take the time to charge it and download some of the more “classic” games onto it before gifting it because if the person isn’t very good with computers the gift will kinda fall flat. Totally recommend it though!

Impressive performance
This retro handheld is genuinely really fun to play and brings back so many memories. Out of the box there is very little setup. Simply plug it in until fully charged, turn it on, start your trip down memory lane. There’s a lot more you can do with this handheld. Like add more games and emulators but if that’s not your thing don’t stress there’s enough games provided that you’ll likely never run out of games to play. Battery life has been great lasting me several days of casual playing without having to charge. The display is vivid and bright while being adjustable to anyone’s needs. Sound is good and a definite improvement from the handhelds of the old days. Ergonomics are surprisingly good with the back buttons allowing for a better grip. Only complaint I have with the rg40xxv is that I had a hard time connecting my Bluetooth earbuds but I think that was more user error than anything else. Overall, it’s a lot of fun!

Just Buy It! You’ll Love It!
The media could not be loaded. I bought this so that I could primarily play Mario Bros and GTA Vice City. Surprisingly GTA Vice City was already loaded on the console. I’ve also added Mario Bros, some Call of Duty titles, Modern Warfare, and a few others. The screen is nice, HD and clear. You can change the graphics to fit your needs. The battery life is TOP TIER, lasts for hours. There is absolutely no lag. I expected some, but have found none on the games I’ve played. My kid and I spend hours on this thing. Def worth the money. Going to buy another one soon.I’m a late 80s millennial and it fills me with so much joy to see my kid enjoying my childhood games just as much as I did, if not more. Everything is on the internet today, which is scary bc nothing is simple or discreet. This little thing brings back the simplicity and physical safety of playing video games. You can enable WiFi, but there’s really no need. You have to add the games from your PC, but you will need a mini SD adapter or a memory card reader to do so. It’s really easy. The buttons may be in different places for certain games, but once you learn them for the game you’re playing it’s not a problem. The stick controller is great for games like GTA, Modern Warfare, COD, 007, and California Speed (my N64 guilty pleasure lol). You’ll waste hours, trust me.My kid tossed that pretty pricy PlayStation aside for this $75 console. Hasn’t touched it in two weeks. I can’t even play unless she’s in bed bc she’ll ask and I can’t say no. I just play when she’s busy with something else or asleep. I woke up @ 2 am to find her wide awake playing Super Mario World (SNES). We both love this little console. So glad I bought it!!

It’s crap
The media could not be loaded. Absolute garbage. Has no ability to scrape. Customizing is about as generic as it gets. Wi-Fi quit working 3 days into owning it so good bye online functionality. Settings rarely save or artifacts from previous saved will overwrite any changes made. Spend some actual money on something like this. Not even worth the hassle of having to go track down the original box to return the hunk of plastic. The buttons feel like you are going to break it. The power button picks and chooses when it turns the device on. The LED lighting will not save between shut downs. The only positive is that it plays games. But I’ve only tested a few because getting any of the settings to actually work/persist is really the only game you play with this heap. Good luck to anyone willing to take the chance on this thing.
