GREAT Cutter
I found the laminate floor cutter to be an excellent tool for my projects. It cuts accurately and is very user-friendly, which I appreciated. The lightweight design made it easy to move around, and it handled various laminate thicknesses without any issues. I did experience a slight learning curve at first, but once I got the hang of it, it saved me a lot of time compared to using traditional saws. Overall, I consider it a valuable addition to my toolkit for both DIY tasks and professional work. Quality is amazing!

Definitely better than scoring and breaking
The flooring cutter seems well constructed. Assembly was a little tricky as the instructions are pretty light, but I was able to figure it out fairly quickly by examining the pictures carefully. There is a “handle lock” on the cutter assembly to lock the handle in the down position when not in use. The lock itself slides a couple of inches right and left, and I’m still not sure why. It also does not really lock very well. After you tighten it down, a simple knock gently into the handle will pop it back up, as it is spring loaded. Not a big deal, but it seems like there should be a better way to do this. Just use a bungee cord to hold it down if necessary. Also, it would be good if the handle locked in an even more flat position, as now it locks at about 25 degrees up from the table. But most important, how does it perform? I didn’t have my flooring yet, so I picked up a samples to try it out. I’d done LVP before by scoring and breaking. Having a cutter seemed attractive. I cut a couple of samples. One of 6.5mm, and the other 12mm, both vinyl plank. The 6.5mm cut without difficulty. I tried a 45 degree cut as well, using the 45 degree indentation in the table as a guide, and I checked it and it was in fact an accurate 45 degree cut. The edges are fine. I think what happens is that the top layer is cut smoothly, and the core at some point snaps. Makes sense. The 12mm was a little harder to cut, as expected, but also easily done. The rubber bottom of that plank did not cut through completely, but it was easy to separate. All of these cuts typically end up under baseboard or edging of some sort, and it’s perfect for that. Don’t expect it to work for joints. You need to use a chop sow for that. Bottom line, this will definitely allow you to work faster and more accurately than hand scoring and breaking.

Komsepor 13” floor cutter! Cut carpet, vinyl, lvp and lay! Highly recommend!
The media could not be loaded. I like the angles on the board to help with angles for my flooring project! I liked how you could lock the handle down and the carrying notch! It would not cut porcelain tile!
