Fireplace Pull Down TV Mount Over Fireplace with Height Adjust for Most 43" - 80" TVs, Max VESA 600x400mm, up to 80lbs, Above Fireplaces TV Mount

Installed this mount today. It's really very nice looking, well built, and sturdy. It functions just as expected and really drops the TV down low and out, away from the heat. I've installed a lot of TV mounts, so maybe I've got it down, but this seemed one of the easiest to install and best quality, especially for the price. Two things to know before and after you buy this....1. Once installed, the mount and my TV combined are roughly 11 inches out from the wall.2. One complication I ran into when installing this mount was how high above the mantle in order to clear the mantle when you're pulling it down. Here's a tip: My mantle came 9 inches out from the wall. I installed the mount so that the bottom of my TV and the pull handle were 9 inches above the mantle, and it cleared it perfectly.

Install took a bit longer than expected but it works wonderfully! Great value for the money. Very heavy duty and has great range of motion. I used mine for putting a 65in TV above my fireplace. I dont regret it!

Purchased to install a 55" TV above our fireplace.It was easy to install the mount and easy to hang the TV.The quality is great and it is easy to pull the TV down when watching.The tension is adjustable, but since our TV is really light I wish there would be additional range to make it optimal for lighter TVs.Can strongly recommend and would buy again.

This tv mount was a game changer in my living room. Our tv is in a weird spot of our house. We were forced to mount the tv very high and it was starting to hurt our neck. We got this mount and BOOM just like that, our tv is on the correct spot. I like the ease of being able to put the tv up high or have it down low for better viewing. Highly recommend.

It holds well but has some flaws on the design. Mounting plate seems ok but the rest of the design is not giving me comfort for my $2000 TV. The lip that connects to the wall plate is just not the right type of connection for weight. Instead of having a lip it should be bolted. It only bolts at the bottom where the weight doesn't count. Seems like it will slip out of place one day for a surprise and pile of destruction. The handle design is also lacking. Even though it's rated for large TVs, the handle does not come down enough for grabbing. I guess it could be good for some who think it's concealed. But having to reach behind the TV is a little annoying. Also not happy with how the arm weight adjustment requires you to remove the TV. I think there are ways around this if you have someone hold the weight of the TV but it's definitely a hassle. Overall, going to observe it for the next few weeks and see how I like it. I attached an image of the place with design opportunities. The rest of it seems okay other than the handle.

Works well. The only issue I had was trying to figure out how high to mount the device above the mantle so when I pulled it down, the TV and handle on the mount don’t hit the mantle as it drops. I had to raise the mount several inches after my first location was too low. Instructions gave no advice on this.

The instruction manual could use a few more engineering drawings with additional dimensions. I had to physically measure the product to determine the exact location for the wall mount on the wall. I couldn't make that calculation just looking at the diagrams on the user's manual. But given that everyone's TVs are gonna be different and the locations of the mounting holes on the back of them will be different, some physical measurements will be inevitable.Another minor gripe is that there was very little room by the handle to attach my center speaker but that is likely due to my TV needing to use the largest VESA mounting option. Any OTS soundbar mounting solution should work fix this issue. Currently my center speaker sits on the mantle which means the sound is slightly muffled when the TV is lowered.This mount sits a lot lower on the wall than the rigid mount I used to have before. This is actually a plus because I was able to drill the mount holes on a more pristine portion of the wall studs and didn't have to worry about hitting older mount holes.The range of vertical tilt and left/right pan angles are more than adequate.One thing I did not have to mess with was the load setting on the lift pistons. My TV weight just happened to perfectly match the factory setting.It's only been up a couple of weeks. So far, I'm totally satisfied. We'll just have to see how durable it is.

This is really cool if you have a high tv set up and want to bring it down when watching. Nice quality and set up.
