Great for your wrist
Easy to use. It was a quick plug in and start rolling. Took a little bit of time to break the muscle memory of trying to move it but not much.Easy to clean. If you start to roll odd, flip over, pop ball out, clean inside ball area and ball, pop back and ta-da! I used computer screen lens wipes because I had it near by and I knew it wouldn't leave behind lint.If it's not responding after you cleaned it, plug it in and charge it.Colors great, although I just picked whatever shipped the soonest. While great at helping wrist, it has started to cause pain in the meaty muscle area, inside palm, below thumb. I use this around 70 hours a week and I'm use that has a lot to do with it. Hopefully I'll find something to help both, wrist and hand muscles.Overall great purchase. I keep this at home and still looking for a traveling option.

A Great Alternative to a Std Vertical Mouse, as well as to a Std Mouse & to a Std Trackball Mouse
I just received this alternative to a Std Mouse, (to a Std Trackball Mouse, and to a Std Vertical Mouse), and I must say it is all it claims to be in terms of use and functionality. The buttons work very well in their designed locations and the trackball ensures I minimize my hand/arm movements. I am enjoying the user experience.I had long ago moved from using a Std Mouse to using the Trackball alternatives, (of which I highly recommend the Kensington, Nulea, & Logi-tech options if someone is not ready to move to a Vertical Mouse). So while my current favorite option for a Std Mouse is the Logitech Ergo Trackball Mouse, when it was recently liberated (ie lifted/stolen) from my temporary workstation location, I decided it was high time to try the Vertical options available.I looked and tried several Vertical Mouse options, and although fairly comfortable with a few, I missed the use and functionality of having a Trackball Mouse. So when I discovered that Kensington & Logi-tech and a few other brands had some Trackball Vertical Mouse options I was thrilled. After reviewing the, (limited), options available I ended up selecting the ProtoArc Vertical Wireless Trackball Mouse, EM05 NL Bluetooth Ergonomic Rollerball Mouse for the following reasons:1> A "true" vertical mouse setup with a 62' Tilt2> A rechargeable mouse. Charging via a Type C USB cable option, with an included charging cable.3> A 2.4 Hz Dongle along with Blue-tooth wireless connectivity options4> Compatible with both Apple / Mac, Windows, PC Android, (this means in a pinch my significant other can use it as well for her Mac).As noted above I just received this mouse and have been putting it through its paces and so far, I think it's excellent. However, I am giving it 4 of 5 Stars, (as the system is not allowing me to give a 4.5 out of 5), for the following reasons:A> The trackball could be a little bigger even though it is thumb-specific, I have found the tracking of the larger trackballs for finger control tends to be a little easier to use, and therefore I would like the thumb trackball to be a little larger for that control.B> The Dongle could be set up for easier visibility. I find that keeping the Top and connecting edge Black requires a bright lighted area to ensure it is connected correctly and smoothly. So a brightly colored top and a white, (or other bright color connecting edge to the USB portion), would allow for faster and easier connection setup.C> Non-Programmability of Buttons prevents customizationD> Lack of covering for the charging port and Dongle insert areas would be a plus from my perspectiveWith that said, besides what I noted above, I also have the following recommendation:E> The creation of a Travel Size version of this or other Vertical Mouse. (As noted above I was using the Logitech Ergo Trackball Mouse and although it's big, I had a case for it so it allowed me to take it for some limited travel, so having the option to purchase a case would be a very good option. However, when doing serious traveling I defaulted to using a "miniature version" of the Std Mouse as space becomes a major restriction. So even with the feedback given above, I do want to stress that overall I am very happy with this ProtoArc Vertical Wireless Trackball Mouse, EM05 NL Bluetooth Ergonomic Rollerball Mouse, and I would highly recommend it to anyone, especially to those interested in transitioning to a vertical mouse and to anyone who would also appreciate having access to trackball functionality as well.

Better than logitech?!
I've only ever owned logitech trackballs for the last 20 years. The last one i purchased broke in less than 2 years, so i thought id give this a try, and wow, was I pleasantly surprised at the build quality and functionality. It's half the price of the Logitech and just as good, if not better. Allows connection to 3 different bluetooth devices with a simple press of a button. No proprietary wireless doohickies like logitech. Highly recommend!

Too large for small hands
The only issue with this item is that it was too large for my small hands. I helped with my wrist pain, but it made my hands hurt terribly because I was constantly straining to reach the buttons.

Great trackball design
I am so happy with the design & functionality of this mouse. I’ve been using trackballs since the 90’s. So much better than the standard mouse. I was impressed by thus mouse. Has a very comfortable hand position.

recommend for existing trackball users or those needing improved ergonomics
If you're accustomed to a thumb controlled track-ball or don't have enough surface space for moving a mouse, or having issues with carpal tunnel, I recommd this trackball.I started using trackball more than 20 years ago when I developed carpal tunnel from using the tiny keyboard and track pad on my IBM ThinkPad when attending college. Making the switch solved my wrist issues. I still usually use a mouse for gaming, but I have used trackballs for normal PC work ever since. However, all of the trackball I've used had my hand lay flat, similar, but better than a mouse. I've the side-ways mice before, and frankly, the shift of hand-weight made them more difficult to control, in my opinion, so I've never really liked them compared to other mice. That said, this is the first such hand position for a trackball I've seen, and I was intrigued, since my complaint for the position was related to arm movement. I ordered this and after a couple months usage, I can say this is the most comfortable trackball I've owned (it actually beats out my previous discontinued favorite, the discontinued Microsoft Trackball Explorer) . Another feature I really like that hasn't been readily usable on other trackball's I've used is the dpi button. I do occasionally game on my laptop, and this turned out to be a nice feature-add for me, too. So overall, I highly recommend for existing trackball users or people who are looking for ways to improve the ergonomics of their laptop or PC use. 5 stars.

Feels Great, But Ball Gets Dirty Often
The mouse is just lovely in terms of feel. It really is my natural hand position. The only gripe is the ball will eventually get dirty, so it will have a problem with fine movements. When making fine movements, it will jump around if there's a just little dirt in there.
