High quality, Great speeds, Multi-use
This is Great if your modem only has one out Ethernet port, it gives you 5 more gadgets to hook up and it does not decrease the speed. I highly recommend this item and seller, shipped very fast. I will use this seller again! Price was great!

EASY SET UP
I had ordered one of these before that did not come as described. When I got on to purchase this one, I made sure to do my research. This one can exactly as it said it would and it has worked great. I’ve had it hooked up for over a week now and have some of the best speeds. It was easy to set up and seems like it is well made.

Plug and play, comes with a power adapter in case you don't have a POE power source
The ad description didn't mention anything about if the device came with its own power adapter, so I wasn't sure if it would work for me since I don't have a POE device to provide power. It did come with a power adapter, so I was able to power it up. It works straight out of the box, just plug a RJ45 wire from your Internet router to the switch (i used port 1) and it will start working. Make sure your cables to your devices support 1000mbps or you will not get the full speed of switch. Now my speed tests I don online show my speed maxes out at 500mbps which is what my current service plan provides. This is a good product. If you want to access its administration page, you can do it before you plug in your internet cord by plugging in your pc and going to 10.0.0.10 IP address in your browser. If you have your internet cable plugged into the switch you need to find the IP assigned to the switch to access the administration page. You can use a free program like Advanced IP Scanner to find the IP address of the switch. None of this is explained in the setup paper, so it can be confusing if you are not familiar with working with network switches. Still a great price and a great piece of hardware.

Compact and inexpensive
This switch is impressively tiny! And I can't believe that it is so inexpensive for a MANAGED switch. Suits my needs perfectly to turn one physical network connection into four. As a managed switch, it gets its own IP address and accessing the configuration page through the browser is a breeze.

Keeps things running quickly, great for my home office!
I picked up the STEAMEMO 5-port gigabit switch for my home office, and it’s been awesome. Setup was super easy, and switching between managed and unmanaged modes was straightforward. I like how it handles traffic smoothly and keeps everything running fast. The web interface is simple to use, and the POE power option is a nice bonus. It feels solid, and I haven’t had to mess with it since installing. Great little device!

Amazing value at a great price.
GS116v1Despite the reviews saying "no local admin" I took a chance. The truth is the 16 port version has a front panel switch to lock it to local web or cloud admin. The switch has the advertised port to port speeds, and plenty of features for the home lab or very small business network. 802.1q vlan/trunk, STP, and port mirroring capabilities are present but no SNMP and no syslog. Port 80 is open for the web gui, plan accordingly.Setup:By default when plugged into your network the switch will acquire an ip configuration from whatever device is managing your network i.e. Wifi router in most cases. By default there is no password, it will force you to set one on first access.(If you do not want to plug it into your network until configured TFTP64d is a good solution for setting up a temporary dhcp server on a PC.)Congratulations if you purchased this, it is a good switch at an amazing price.

Does *not* properly support 802.1Q VLAN tagging
This was a huge waste of time. You have to contact the company (as another reviewer pointed out) via email to get updated firmware so you can actually have local control over the switch (as opposed to cloud-only via a phone app). I knew this going in and firewalled off the switch itself from the outside before even putting it on my network for good measure. What you won't find out until setting it up is it has no options that any other 802.1Q capable switch has for setting up tagged VLANs. Tagging is *the* core feature of 802.1Q.It also has no options for assigning 802.1Q PVIDs to ports, something all of my other switches have (and it's fairly important for preventing your non-802.1Q devices from falling back to the wrong VLAN).I asked the company how to set up the switch with a specific (fairly common) example VLAN config that I'm already using on multiple other switches and my router and their terse response was: "Our switch only supports TRUNK and ACCESS."I asked if there was possibly a language translation problem as "access" doesn't make sense in this context (exact question), and received no response.I returned it to Amazon. There are many more out there that are far better with much better support (I have several).Shop around and look at screenshots of the menus.
