Fun toy after some practice
My 6 year old got this toy from Santa. It is super fun! After some trial and error and practice he has had a lot of fun flying it and it functions well. It is super lightweight, so he flies it in the garage for the most part to avoid the wind. I am not sure that it will hold up long as both foam wings have small pieces broken the tips. It still flies despite this.

fun toy
My grandson had a great time with the drone, as did his father and grandfather.

So far so good. Kid loves it. He’s happy. I’m good with that.

Missing piece and difficult for child to control
Mine came without a back for the controller. Now the only way to exchange it would be for me to buy a box and label. I hate when I have to pay for other people's mistakes. It is dumb. Would not have bought it if this were the case. Also, difficult to fly when compared to other drones we have purchased. Lame

A little on the cheap side but a lot of fun - good "starter" drone
This is a fun toy that flies pretty well once you get the hang of it - definitely a steep learning curve at first, but once you get it figured out it's not too bad. Our 11 and 14 year old kids can both fly it independently - kids younger than 10 might need a little parental supervision just because the steering can be a little tricky. It's quite light weight and doesn't handle wind well - we have had a lot better luck using this in the basement.I like that this comes with two battery packs - each one lasts about 15 minutes at most, so it is good to be able to charge both of them and then have a little more play time. They do take awhile to charge, so if your kid loves this thing, they're only going to be able to play with it for 30 minutes most at a time before needing to give it a rest to recharge. The pterodactyl design is fun. For $37.99, this isn't a bad deal for a drone. It is definitely on the cheaper side and I don't think would hold up well to rough play. But for older kids who fly this in a more controlled manner, it will likely have more longevity. Our kids only use it occasionally, so it has held up well over the last couple months since they got it.

Not for littles
My son is 6 and this is not easy to fly. Maybe an 8 year old but probably a kid close to the 10-12 range.
