Gabb Phone 4: The Perfect First Phone for Kids - Safe Apps, No Social Media/Internet Browser, GPS Tracking, Parental Controls, Talk & Text, 30 Activation Fee

The Gabb phone 4 has been great thus far. My child loves it! I love that they love it! I have the peace of mind that they're protected from social media and random Internet browsers or mindless YouTube videos/shorts. They love the Gabb Music app and use it constantly for study music, music to fall asleep to, etc... the selection is vast and I love that the library of music is already clean :DUpdate: my child forgot the pattern code to unlock the phone (and was too embarrassed to tell me for like a whole month {*~*}) and since it restarted after dying, we couldn't use our registered fingerprints to unlock it. I went to the Gabb support website and tried the bot chat but our problem was a bit beyond the capacities of it, so I waited until their reasonable office hours to chat with a support team member. They were very courteous and patient with me (I'm technologically handicap xD) and after what seemed like an eternity (because I couldn't figure out the button combinations, nothing to do with the very helpful team member whose name was Justice, I believe), I was able to factory reset it and get back in to the phone. 5 out of 5 stars for customer support.

My son absolutely loves his phone. He's at his dad's for spring break and calls and texts all he wants. He's able to send clear pictures and listen to music. He's 9 years old and this is a great starter phone for him. I love that I don't have to worry about him getting on to any inappropriate websites or social media and I can see so much from my app. I haven't played with the app much yet, but I will be doing more. Oh, and it's also simple for me to use (I'm not a tech savvy person). There are also a bunch of cases to choose from and all sorts of accessories. (Bonus: he can earn those by behaving well!) All in all, I am happy with my purchase and hope he doesn't lose or break the phone, and that's why you also get the protection on it! Lastly: Gabbs customer service is on point! I got a follow up text like 3 days after getting the phone asking how it was and a live person answered my response pretty quick!

Hi,The Gabb phone is working really well for us. I’m using it for a relative that lives in NC and I’m in NY. She prefers no access to the internet and no extraneous calls so setting up from my end works well! It is simple for her to use snd she can communicate with those she wants to , send texts and take snd send photos! So far it is great!!I can see getting one for my grandson when he gets a little older🙂

I carefully considered all my options in getting my children their first phone for use as a mobile house phone. This one seemed like the perfect choice for our family. I wanted a smartphone for the location tracking for when my son was off in the neighborhood and so the kids could learn how to text the way the majority of us do (as opposed to using T9 on a flip phone), and I liked that this was incapable of scrolling apps or unfettered Internet access. This phone was at a good price for Christmas and offered a free month of service, so it seemed like a good time to make it happen.Right out of the box, after setting it up and picking a service plan, I knew this was a mistake. It functions like a bloated old phone that can’t handle updates. On top of that, you have the option as a parent to add some extra apps from the website, and every one I clicked on gave me an error message and didn’t load, which is for the best because the battery life is absolute trash. This phone, right out of the box and with no extra apps or pictures or videos and without any serious use, cannot hold a charge for more than a day, and then it takes hours to reach a full charge. We have to charge it overnight to make sure it gets a full charge.I’ve been charged already for the first month of service, even though they’re advertising a free month. I was able to switch from a two year contact to month-to-month (because I don’t see this phone lasting two years), and I spoke to a person when doing so. The only reason I’m not pushing to return it is because my kids love having a phone & I can’t afford a better phone right now, but I do feel scammed. I plan on getting a new older model iPhone or Android and utilizing parental controls and apps in the coming year.

It’s probably more a sign of my age but it wasn’t super intuitive to figure out. However their customer service was very helpful and solved all my issues quickly. Sometimes it was as simple as deleting and redownloading, and often it was user error. I went with the 4. I didn’t research enough to realize you couldn’t download any 3rd party apps. That’s only on the Pro. But that’s actually probably okay so I don’t have to battle my kids begging me to let them download different apps.

Purchasing this phone was a really easy process, and followed by a quick connection process as well. I look forward to having my daughter. Keep this safe phone for the next couple years! They also respond quickly and answer all questions directly!

I love that there is no internet on the phone! My kids are only able to text/call whatever numbers I put in their phone. Also the GPS accuracy is pretty much spot on. It was so easy to set up, and super affordable! This single mama approves!! 10/10💕
