Wow, I’m am actually impressed
I currently have a Klein MM2000 which has served me very well over the years but the case has becoming brittle and the display is pretty scratched up. I have used this meter everywhere for continuity, diode testing, voltage and resistance measurements, current draws, and AC frequency checks. These multi-meters are valuable in all kinds of situations like battery testing, landscape lighting, automotive and RV work, household wiring, appliance maintenance; the list goes on. Really, everyone should have a multi-meter in the home.I considered just buying another Klien but then I saw this RuoShui T-RMS 6000 auto ranging digital multi-meter on Amazon for even less than 1/2 the price I paid for the Klein 10 years ago. So I thought I would give it a try. I am really glad I did. This is a great ‘auto-ranging’ multi-meter and is function packed. It features true RMS measurements, has a backlit two-color display, analog bar graph, and low impedance. As my old Kline, it also has data hold, max/min, and auto power off that can be cancelled when needed. But unlike the Klien, this Ruoshui has the additional integrated non-contact voltage detector located at the head of the meter so you can quickly check for voltage before connecting the test leads. A cool function, when powered on or the function switch is turned, circular green lights will flash around the needed input ports that assist you and insure the correct input ports are used. This meter even has a flashlight. The backlit display is bright and clear and the sensitivity is good. I actually like the two-color display that switched to orange when over 80 volts. It was also nice to see the AC voltage and the hertz on the same screen at the same time.A really good all purpose multi-meter.

Many Combined Features of Multiple Devices, Yet Simple Operation
Pic 1 is as received, nothing fancy - but fairly rugged. Pic 2 is a close-up of the functions available. Some functions on the dial have multiple uses, and the orange button on the left selects between multiple functions that are on the same spot of the dial.Pics 3-5 are the probes - nothing fancy, and actually a bit stiff and more difficult to use than the newer silicon based test probe leads. The test probe banana connection to the meter is a bit strange fitting, and if you do not insert them all the way, they seem to be rather flakey! Push them all the way in! Now, it is firmly connected and you will achieve correct readings (instead of "operator error" like me!).While many do not routinely need a temperature probe, occasionally it is quite useful (pic 7). Being skeptical about the accuracy, I tested it with ice - dead-on accurate (pic 8), and then not being able to maintain boiling water, used a dedicated temperature meter to compare almost boiling water. The 1.7 degree difference was probably due to the distance between different probes in pic 9.Testing of voltage (AC & DC), resistance, capacitance, frequency, diode test, milli-amps, and amps were all within specs - that are quite well documented in a very thorough user manual. The non-contact sensing of AC power was quite sensitive.Note the probe pics 10-11. There is noting mentioned in the user manual concerning the probe sheath that you can see removed between the pics. I was originally annoyed that the probes didn't seem to match the vendor pics and was going to subtract another star, and then I saw in one of the product pics that there is a removeable slip cover. Thank goodness! The ring at the tip of the probe is very useful when measuring components that are round and have wires coming out of both ends - so that the probe does not slip off the led wires while attempting measurements.Other than the stiff probe wires, this is a great little hand-held meter. The ability to do temperature measurements is a real bonus, and the near field sensing for AC power means one less device to carry around in addition to this meter - and safer as well since you will be more inclined to perform the test with a meter in-hand rather than digging through your tool case to find your non-contact probe hidden in the bottom of your tool bag. Includes thermal probe and proximity-EMF measuring of AC lines
Item: RuoShui store’s Digital Multimeter w-EMF measurements of AC linesPrice: $30.65 after vendor’s 27% discountI own and have reviewed a few Amazon multi-meters now used in my home workshop. Having electronics as a hobby for multiple decades, measuring voltage and current, the basics, is something with which I’m extremely familiar. I use this type of meter during home appliance maintenance and repair as well as when I'm working on our vehicles. What’s interesting to me is how the common budget priced multi-meters have been enhanced with features. The RuoShui includes an integrated ‘proximity AC sensor’ for quick-checking live voltage wiring. I held the top of the meter, where you'll see that raised black block, and with it close to an household AC line, the 'green bar' LED at the top of the meter illuminated and the meter beeped. That's a really nice and convenient method to 'safety check' an AC line. And while a very elementary probe, this meter also comes with a thermal sensing adapter. You’ll be able to check the temperature of your oven, should you believe the heating coil isn’t running at full capacity.Bottom line, this meter is equal to and somewhat exceeds the features of the other recent meters I’ve reviewed. And I just used the Amazon page to check comparables and see that the RuoShui appears to be at a very competitive price point. The only thing I had to provide was a couple of AA batteries. One Phillips-head screw holds the back panel and battery bay cover.Based on my initial review of this meter, and being pleasantly surprised at the larger-print users manual, I’d recommend you strongly consider this meter. My opinion is that its currently a very good value given the meters I checked out that are also available on Amazon. I’d also consider purchasing the Amazon 4-year extended warranty, which will provide you with 4-years of worry free use at about $2.25 per year. My understanding is that the coverage starts upon purchase, not after the vendor/manufacturer's included warranty.
