The best extension lead I've had
You're capable of turning certain parts of the socket on and off which work perfectly, as well as adding a timer to each one of them to turn them on and off at certain times. With having red lights to indicate which one is off or on. There's enough sockets for me to be happy with and more than enough USB port for me to use, enough for when my friends come over and need to charge there's still some space left. You're able to turn it off and on while not being at home via the app it uses, as long as you're connected to the internet of course. It also uses the same app as my smart light, so it's flexible for my phone instead of having to download multiple apps. While still using it with my Alexa Echo Dot which is handy too.

Excellent, love the ability to control each socket by voice
It was a difficult decision to buy. Most places sell individual plugs and there’s lots of reviews. A multi socket was harder to find.My house is annoying with very few plug sockets. So, I’ve lots of extension leads. I bought several smart WiFi plugs, but the problem is they are quite big and push on the on off switch. And they are expensive too.So, I decided to look at smart extension leads. But, there only appears to be a handful on the Internet.I spent a phenomenal amount of time finding them all, comparing the photos and I could see some where exactly the same and different prices. I managed to match them up and read so many reviews on each. This one I decided had the best reviews, but I wanna as still concerned, I can’t work out why they are not that many, and thought maybe they don’t work as well. But, these are cheaper than buying 3 smart plugs and you get the usb sockets too.The instructions weren’t brilliant, written so small it’s difficult to read. Thankfully, I could see it was no different than setting up an individual smart plug.I was really pleased they connected first time, as I’ve tried a few brands of smart plugs and some take several attempts to connect. After connecting you’re able to rename each socket to whatever you want and The name of the strip too. Unfortunately, it doesn’t allow anything too long in name, which I find slightly annoying. We’ve multiple lamps, so I name them with obvious things like, red lamp, gold lamp etc. But, it would take copper lamp. Thankfully it’s the only led lamp I have and called it led lamp. So, not a big deal.Straight away I asked Alex to turn on and off the whole smart strip which it did with no issues. But, it would respond to the individual sockets. So, I reset it and tried again and no joy. I was busy and gave up and asked a question in the options on the listing, but the answers I received said I did everything correct. It was late and I decided to leave it for the night. On my way to bed, I noticed it had been turned off at the wall by a family member, and turned it on. And quickly asked Alex to turn on and off each socket and it worked 🍾And it’s been up and running working perfectly for 24hrs.I’m not sure why there was a delay, maybe my internet dipped or there was a delay between the app updating the Alex app. As previously only the smart strip was showing in Alex, but now each socket is displayed individually.I’ve a couple more to set up, so we shall see if it happens again or if it works straight away. Maybe turning it off at the wall and turning on again triggered something. I’m honestly not sure. But, I’m delighted they all work individually with voice commands as that’s exactly what I wanted. Each socket even has a light that turns red to show it’s on, which is super helpful. As I walk by, I can see what’s been left on and ask alex to turn them off.The scheduling feature is brilliant too. Unfortunately, it’s not something I’d use as I’ve teenagers and they keep irregular hours. But, I can see a huge potential for it, if you’ve set hours, all out at work during the day, and set them to turn on for coming home then at nighttime. The downsides are:1. there’s no mounting holes on the back, which isn’t a big deal. I used the command strips to stick it to the wall.2. It only comes in white, I’ve a few areas where black would be a better option3. This is the major one for me; I’d like the option of 4 or more sockets as well as ones with the usb sockets. There’s areas I really don’t require the usb sockets, and I’d find an extra socket very useful. But, I do like that it has a usb feature as so many items now have the option to use usb or a plug. And I don’t mind you can’t control each individual usb sockets, it would be a pain to switch each one on. It’s better it’s contrlled as a group.I will be setting up my others asap and I will probably purchase more. I always turn everything off at the wall normally, but this saves a lot of time and effort. Especially now I have mobility issues. Voice control smart devices have made life so much easier for me.And my other major favourite part is the function to switch everything off on your phone app. I always double check in bed everything is off. Or if I leave the house in a rush, I can turn them off from anywhere very quickly and easily. There’s obviously an initial outlay to home automation, but according to the experts online, it’s worth it and saves you money in the long run.The smart life app even allows you to check each appliance to check usage. So, if it’s using a lot of energy, I can buy something new that consumes less energy or make more of an effort to use it less or only when necessary.Really love these strips...far cheaper than buying individual smart sockets, less set up time too. And my biggest concern is now gone with the size of the individual sockets pressing against the mains on off switch. The teenagers love them too, easy to switch on and off. Even if they forget, they can use any of our Echo Dots around the house to use voice control without going back to the room. Hopefully, it’s not a novelty and they will continue to turn things off.A huge recommendation from me 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Misleading
I don’t normally write reviews but I think it needs to be made clear that the plugs cannot be controlled individually through Alexa, they can on the app but I don’t feel like they were straightforward that they can only be controlled in the app.

Be warned! My etension lead blew up
I was happy with this extension lead until it blew up this evening. One week outside refund window.Loud pop, flash and sparks came out of USB sockets. All I plugged in was my netbook and a USB lead plugged in.As a disabled person I used this extension to help me and avoiding pain reaching for things.

Brilliant works with Alexa perfectly
Ok so after an initial frustration with Alexa only turning the entire strip on and off o figured out that to control all 3 sockets and the usb’s Seperatly you need to rename each socket in the smart life app. Then don’t let Alexa find the device automatically as it does. Delete the automatically found device and then add “other device” it will then find all the sockets individually and you will have to add them all seperatly. A bit of a fiddle but now you can name it all within Alexa how you want, Lamp, tv etc. A great device. Note that if your WiFi is dual band it might have issues joining the WiFi. If so disable the 5ghz and join WiFi then re enable you 5ghz and it will work just fine. I cannot comment on the longevity of this device but it feels quite well made 5* ignore other reviews that say Alexa can only control the entire strip as that is untrue you just need to set the device up manually not automatically

Great value and easy to use with iPhone app and Alexa
Brilliant. Fast free same day delivery. Had it set up within minutes. All three 13amp sockets can be switched on and off independently by app or Alexa. And the 6 usb sockets can be switched on and off together. Ignore the review that says Alexa can only switch the whole strip together. This is not true with current software (October 2018)

Works with Google Home without any issues!
This power strip is very useful - each socket can be individually controlled and named through the app. It also works really well with Google Home - it lets you turn on/off the whole strip in one go or each socket seperately just by asking Google Assistant to do so.This strip only works on 2.4ghz WiFi, so I had to disable 5ghz on my router to connect my phone to the plug via the app - this was easy enough to do.Overall, I'm satisfied with this product!

Surprisingly Excellent Smart Power Strip
Bought this fully expecting to have to send it back, but have been pleasantly surprised at just how fantastic this really is. Downloading the app was straightforward, as was adding the strip. After some socket renaming, it was over to the Alexa app where after adding the skill the device was picked up straight away, and each of the 3 sockets along with the USB group being discovered. Full marks for the setup process.Control via the app or voice control is flawless, offering individual control of the 3 sockets and overall control of the USB ports, as well as general on / off for the entire strip. The strip responds to each command with an audible clunk; some may find this off-putting but I found it a reassuring addition to the status change within the app. We've got this running on a schedule, and coupled with the on demand features, it really is a fantastically versatile bit of kit. So much so, we're certainly going to get a couple more.
