Nice upgrade for me
I'm very familiar with this style of security system. As a matter of fact, I'm replacing an older security system that I've had for about 10 years that is wireless, and similar in concept to this particular one by YBJ. This one of course is far more modern with a touch screen, Wi-Fi connectivity, and RFID fobs along with the remote controls. Set up was very easy via the smart life app, which I'm very familiar with, because I have lots of smart devices that work through it. It's also Alexa compatible, which is great for me with all of my amazon echoes that I use. It's nice to be laying in bed, and command it through Alexa to arm the alarm, instead of having to get up, and search for the remote or my phone. In any case, there are lots of ways to control it, which compared to my older system, which was controlled via the control panel alone and a remote, is far more convenient, especially if I happen to not be home. The range for the door sensors, and motion detectors is very good. I had no issues of installing them anywhere I chose. The interface on the control panel is bright, and easy to understand. It's a nice little touch screen that is responsive, and clear. I like the included wireless siren as well, because I can choose where I want to mount it for the best placement. The only reason I removed the star, and to be honest I think I grade it more like 4 1/2 stars in total, so let's say 1/2 star off, is because these wireless systems require constant replacement of batteries. It's just a fact, you're going to have to replace the batteries on the door sensors, the motion detectors, the remotes, and check the system every now and then, to make sure that it's functioning properly. That's nothing new with this type of a system, but for one that you can install yourself for added security, and not have to worry about home monitoring costs, this is a nice modern version of what I've had for about 10 years now. It's a pretty good deterrent, and the siren is certainly loud enough. I can tell you that it makes my wife feel much more comfortable, especially when she happens to be home alone. It's also very reasonably priced, in my opinion. All in all, as long as your security needs are modest, and you're not protecting a Picasso or anything like that, I'd say this is a great system to have. I've used one like this for 10 years now, and there's a reason why I went for an updated version of a very similar system. That reason is, even if replacing batteries gets annoying after a while, it's a functional system that works well, and certainly add security. I would recommend it.

Does what I need and integrates w/ my setup
It takes almost no time to setup, you just set up the control panel where you want it and the alarms go on with sticky tape. The alarms are small, inobtrusive, and unless you know what you are looking at you won't know. Setup the app to control the whole rig and you are all set. Works with Alexa so its a simple matter to turn it on when I go to bed and have it shut off when I wake up. The app keeps track of how many times you forget to turn it off ..I mean ..how many intrusions are detected, and its not difficult to navigate or interpret what the app is saying (you can set the timer if you keep a more consistent schedule than I do and will save yourself a few misfires). Pretty loud too. Lot of stuff in a small package too and the motion detector was the tricky one with animals around since the detection is pretty sensitive (aimed at door worked for me though). All in all was a nice and simple setup, inexpensive, and I figure that this is about the same stuff as you might get with a professional monitored service (except maybe theirs are hardwired, idk?). Very nice though, and would get again.
