Principles of Public Health Practice, 3rd Edition 3rd Edition

This was an incredibly good text book and I thoroughly enjoyed reading every bit of it. It is a compilation of topics as an overview of public health in American. The editors did a great job of choosing relevant topics that gave a student a good picture of Public Health and what makes up Public Heath. I highly recommend this book.

This text is a good overview of public health issues and historical information. An easy book for use by non-public health majors. The book seems to be designed more for someone who might be taking only 1-2 semesters of PH rather than someone who is concentrating in this subject. There is not any significant statistics work, just a broad overview of the discipline.

The item itself does not get a rating of 1 star, it is the company that I ordered from. Just as some of the other reviews have mentioned, it has been nearly 1 month since I ordered my book through this company, and I have yet to receive it. This is very frustrating seeing as how school started 1 month ago, and I am still without my book.I'm hoping I won't have to go through the hassle of filing a claim with Amazon. I'm keeping my fingers crosses that my book will arrive any day now....

This book is a great text requirement for an MPH program. The only drawback I can think of, is that it is so darn heavy! An e-book or kindle version may not be as user friendly as one may think. Overall, good buy.
