OK (eventually) to start. Will review again in a month or so
Initially would not set up at all so had to do a factory reset. All was then ok until I needed to discover the other Hive products (only have a thermostat) I have. No luck what so ever. Phoned Hive & a very nice lady walked me through the connection process & total success. All now seems ok, so will report in a month or so.Nice bit of kit, well made and not unattractive at all. The wife actually thought it looked ok on the telephone table. The instructions are very poor, its best doing a but of research on the net as some kindly souls have posted some very useful information.

Not recommended: looks expensive but it’s cheaply made. Very poor customer service
If you haven’t yet purchased any Hive products PLEASE DON’T! They look expensive but are very cheaply manufactured and break easily. I made the huge mistake of investing a lot of money in the early days. I bought a (then very expensive) indoor camera, an outdoor camera, door and window sensors, thermostat, many light bulbs... they are really good at trapping you as once you start the whole system works together and depends on the hub. I originally purchased the basic hub. It lasted over a year and then stopped working. This meant that the whole system (except the outdoor camera which connects to wifi independently) wouldn’t work. Hive didn’t cover the repair and didn’t even offer a discount as it was after the limited warranty. I decided to buy a 360 hub via amazon as (among other things) it was way cheaper and arrived the next day (hive takes 3-5 working days to dispatch items in the UK!). The new and expensive 360 hub lasted 4 months. Every time you change the wifi password you need to reset it as it often gets stuck at set up (white light). The connector is VERY cheap and with so much plugging and unplugging needed to restart and reset it just fell off! Don’t take my word for it, google it and you will see how many people experienced the same issues. This time, luckily, I’m still covered by their warranty and they are sending a new one (3-5 days). I’m not holding my breath that this will last very long, but I will give it a last go before possibly chucking all my hive products away once this replacement (likely) breaks too. I have many other smart products that cost me half as much and never gave me a problem. They don’t require a hub and integrate perfectly with Apple home or Alexa. Please reconsider purchasing this hub or any Hive products. Also customer service (chat based unless you want to wait for ages on the phone) is terrible.

had to get a apple 6 phone to pass the bluetooth setup as my galaxy note 4 failed bluetooth
galaxy note 4 phones fail on bluetooth setup, so find someone with an apple phone.once the bluetooth setup is complete it's all wifi then and no ethernet cable needed like the gastly looking original white hub. Also to connect the thermostat hive staff said push the and hold the button on the hive controller till it flashes then remove a battery from the thermostat and then insert back in.this action reboots both and means the hive 360 hub finds the signal.hope this helps.the hive app is terrible in regard i couldn't use my galaxy note 4 android phone so there play store and hive tech team need to update the app so it will work for all androids. It is a new hub though being only 6 months old.Works great with hive colour bulbs which are 25 on wickes at mo.These hubs have system memory should the power fail so again one up on the original hive white hub.UPDATE: Thought I'd check back in on this review seeing all the negative reviews. Had the black Hub 360 5 months now and not had one issue with it. I live in a flat and situate the hub on a window sill behind a curtain out the way and plug it into a normal plug socket (which I have upgraded to a 3 pin and 2 x 5v USB combo stainless steel socket). The bluetooth reaches right round a 2 bed flat even with doors shut to all my Hive colour bulbs. I did buy a booster but don't think it was needed but I keep that in far side of the flat in case plugged in. Only issue I have had is with one of the bulbs but Hive syaff were able to access it remotely to factory reset and all is good again. Great to be able to control the cental heating and Colour bulbs either via mobile data or wifi and set scedules and change the bulb colours as per my mood. Dark blue on 1% dim setting on one of the bulbs is great as a night light if you want to leave it on ect. Recommend Hive thermostat,Colour Bulbs and Hub 360.

A nightmare to setup but works eventually.
I’m compelled to write this review to add my own experience setting up the Hub 360 alongside those from others. In short, it’s an absolute nightmare to get it working with the rest of your system and a minefield of issues waiting to happen.I’m happy to say I do now have everything up and running and it’s nice to have the additional functionality. It would just be a lot nicer if getting there wasn’t such a hassle.

If Upgrading Go to Support
When I read some of the reviews I thought this might be a nightmare to setup as it was an upgrade to an existing Hive. I tried a couple of times to do it on my own with no success, then went to the live chat from the phone app. If you follow the instruction it is not hard to set up and the guy on Chat registered the 360 Hub to replace the existing one. Once it was up and running I have had no problems with it but the instruction didn't explain that you need to register the new hub and remove your old one so I'd suggest setting it up with the online help.

If replacing an existing hub, prepare for a painful set up process.
Really frustrating to set up, trying to contact Hive to set up because the poor instructions (that look so simple) do not do anything like what they are meant to (I was simply replacing my existing hub with hub360) so that I didn’t have wires hanging out of my modem. After about 5 days I managed to catch someone on live chat (because of COVID) and they added the product for me, works really well now set up and has automatically come on after several power cuts. Might turn the listening device off because every time I watch I program where a dog barks I get an email to say Hive has heard a dog bark, it’s a shame there is no functionality to turn off just the dog bark notifications without the smoke alarm and other notifications independently. Plus if I was to burn in my bed I am not sure an email would do the trick, the ability to ring your mobile would be a much better function. If I wasn’t redecorating my house and wasn’t bothered by trailing wires I probably would save my money.
