Its a great wireless wheel for the price
I got this steering wheel for christmas. I do have a proper wired one but nothing to really clamp it to so this seemed easy and quick to get out and start to use without any set up. There is a bit of lag from you turning the wheel to the car moving but nothing bad and you will get used to it. Its a very good wheel for someone that has never used one before and would like a bit more realism to driving games. Only bad thing is the position of the buttons on the back in the centre as if you have short fingers you may find these hard to reach.

Great
great seller, item was delivered on time and in new condition. At first when I tried this wheel it was hard to get use to,but give this wheel time and you might love this like I do.At £15 it's very cheep and it's worth it!It does make your arms ache after awhile but you get use to it.

There is a lag. Returned it.
Really wanted this to work, as I have a lot of racing games and the more 'professional' wheels with pedals take up a lot of space. Unfortunately, what the other reviewers have said about 'lag' is true. Even with the sensitivity turned up (which doesn't have any impact on the lag) there is a noticeable delay between turning the wheel and the turn happening in the game, which makes quite a bit of (bad) difference when your in a fast moving game. I've sent it back which is a shame but no point keeping it when I've found it to be inferior to the Sony wireless controller.

Great effort but unfortunately flawed
This is my first review on Amazon and I'm directing it at those of you who've used simulation orientated racing wheels in the past (Driving Force GT, G25.G27 etc.) but who are also pretty adept on the dual shock controller.I should also mention that I tried this on Gran Turismo 5 and am at the stage in the game where using the dual shock controller for races like the Formula GT and Red Bull X1 challenges is border-line ridiculous (I know there are those out there who've managed to complete the entire game with the dual shock controller - my hat off to you guys - oh yes, and also, get a life ;-) haha)Ideally, I wanted to have my cake and eat it by getting a racing wheel without having cables, pedals and a racing seat taking up real estate in my living room. Funny enough, I've never really been bothered with pedals as I've got quite used to accelerating and braking using the triggers without TC and ABS.In fact, my only requirement for the wheel was something that gave me analogue steering in and out of corners i.e. I can't stand the analogue thumb sticks for this as your range of movement is too small. However, as much as I really wanted to like this racing wheel and after giving it chance after chance, in the end I actually ended up going back to my dual shock controller! It looks great and Giotek have gone to great effort in including things like a sensitivity adjustment, the ability to switch the functions of triggers and shoulder buttons, a nudge function (although I had no idea how to actually implement this) etc.My main gripe with it was input lag which was worse than the dual shock controller. The dual shock controller uses Bluetooth whereas this wheel uses the blimmin' wireless dongle thing which are notoriously laggy. Wireless in itself is faster than Bluetooth but it's the way in which it's transmitted from the device (be it a guitar hero drum kit or whatever device) and then interpreted and translated by the PS3 system. With the faster cars in the later stages of the game, input lag is unacceptable otherwise you're just constantly correcting your delayed corrections and end up fish tailing down the road! There are some that say that you get used to the lag but I don't know how this is even possible when reaction times are pretty much the core basis of what makes a good racer. The other problem was a slight dead zone in the centre position of the wheel where I guess the accelerometer is not reading any movement. The result is that you slowly end up drifting off the road when you think you're slightly steering back on to the racing line. Even though there is a sensitivity adjustment on the wheel, I didn't find it helped in this particular scenario. The last little issue I had was that the equivalent L1 and L2 shoulder buttons (which I use to change gears), are behind the centre of the wheel and really difficult to get to. You have to sacrifice grip on the wheel and kind of pinch it between your thumb and index finger so your middle finger can reach around and change gears. You end up driving with your fingers all spread out instead of actually holding the wheel properly! There is an ability to assign gear change to X and [] and then you swap the accelerator and break triggers with the two nudge (?) buttons on the side of the wheel. This way you can change gear with the nudge buttons but they're actually quite hard to press (and once again in a weird position) so you end up missing gear shifts.I ended up returning this wheel for a refund. Despite it only being £25 at the time, I actually didn't want to get used to it in case I broke my TV one day by throwing it at it when something happened like a missed gear change or my fingers slipped or the turning lag made me brush the sand coming out of a corner and I missed out on the gold time by 0.003 seconds.Other people in these reviews seem happy enough with it but as far as I'm concerned, you might as well just spend a bit more time (and a little less money) getting better at using the Dual Shock controller. Fair enough, they might be using it for more arcadey games but I'm sure I even read of a few people using this GT5 - all I can say is good luck when you get to the later races!I'm saddened by the fact that I'm probably going to have to buy a proper racing wheel setup to finish this game and get the proper enjoyment out of it. So far, the Holy Grail hybrid does not exist and I wonder if it ever will :-(

More annoying than bad
Not my cup of tea, found it quite hard to use and you need to change settings eveytime you use it if you want to use the triggers as Throttle / Brake, very easy to do but a bit annoying when I'd imagine most would prefer to use it in this setting.

Does the job once you get used to it
Perfect for the price - and actually I'll be happy sticking with this even though i thought I'd want to move on to a more expensive wheel before i gave this a try!Its made me feel like a 'good' driver again lol!! Isn't that what its all about - being able to have fun and progress through games. Been able to come 1st in 9/10 of my races now :)I use it for GT6 mostly - now I can't seem to use the sensitivity adjustment dial - but seems a GT6 issue. The sensitivity is overall grand once you get the feel of how the wheel responds.POTENTIAL NEGATIVES:- There definitely IS a 'DEAD-SPOT' range of about 10-20 degrees either side of vertical. BUT, I found this only affected quick, slight corrections to steering. The PLUS SIDE is that you can relax your arms much more easily when on straights when driving, without making you skid all over the road lol!! I was still have the ACCURACY and INSTANT control over my driving.- Only other point to highlight is the 'shoulder' trigger buttons DO NOT seem to have GRADUATED RESPONSE (or is very minimal to be noticeable on GT6), which is a shame - so you WILL NOT have 100% dynamic touch control of the BRAKES OR ACCELERATOR - HOWEVER, i found this DID NOT significantly impair my steering. (IMO it still allows for 90% accuracy of control :)- (BUT, if you're trying for GT Academy then that might become a big deal - but then again you'll not be reading this post as you'll be spending at least £350 on the top of the range driving controllers!!!)In SUMMARY:DEFINITELY a FANTASTIC QUALITY, WELL MADE, ACCURATE AND RESPONSIVE wireless racing wheel for its minimal cost. Its just the right weight in my view - not noticeably heavy but not light like a toy.. Its for sure a worthwhile upgrade from stick-steering with your six axis controller.

Superb
Having wanting a steering wheel for my racing games, I have been looking around for some time but all the others are either bulky or have to be fixed to a table etc.I was sceptical with the GIOTECK but decided to buy it and give it a go. I have been very impressed and it is easy to use and looks and feels a good solid item.

Jederzeit wieder
