The advent calendar box can be opened so you can see all the puzzles at the same time. Some of the puzzles are small and have a really small hole to get them (3,4,5, 22, 23,24) so accessing them may be easier without going from the hole. Other than that, I would say the puzzles are comparable quality to what you get as prizes from an arcade type place when you trade in your tickets. They are small and sturdy, but not anything fancy. Mostly something that you try to take apart and then put back together. There are no instructions, but you can pay close attention as you take them apart or scour the web for help.I would say these are good fidget toys for younger kids, but I expect that some kids will get frustrated trying to do it (especially a new one every day), and some kids will enjoy the challenge. Others may find it too easy. Know your kid and what they like and if the kid is the one taking it apart, pay attention so you can help put it back together. I recommend taking a picture of everything beforehand so you at least know what the objective is when you put it back together.

When this box arrived, my son promptly opened it like you would a regular box. Some of the toys inside got moved around, and some of the small cardboard separators moved. I was a bit confused until I realized that you are supposed to keep it closed and tear open the box cover one at a time. We may end up just taking out one toy at a time since I don't know exactly where some of the little toys were supposed to fit.I like that each toy is individually wrapped in plastic. However, some are pretty small and many look very similar. We'll have to see how it works when December comes... the kids are excited to use it!

This advent calender has a verity if puzzles made of wood metal and plastic. They are all well made. Some are easier to solve while others are very challenging. There are no instructions but they are solvable. There is a different puzzle behide each door. The puzzles are not really big but not so small that they are to easy to solve. I got this for our 12 year old who loves to figure out how things work. She is going to love this advent calender.

So I’m a math teacher. I will probably use these toys as a brain break, getting the kids to race to solve. Unfortunately none of these toys come with instructions. Most are pretty straightforward, but it would be nice to have. Also some (red marbles) are very cheap.

I discovered that there are many different-themed advent calendars this year and just love the idea of something fun for adults too! My kids loved our advent calendar when they were young and it was just a tree where you moved a wooden candy cane to each day! Now that they are young adults and away at college, I thought it would be for them to have something they could look forward to every day. I got this one for my 21 year old son who still loves to fidget and play with things, so I think this will be perfect. There seems to be some that are very similar in style, but that's okay, he can get rid of the ones he doesn't like. The point is the fun of getting something everyday and this is a fun set for that.

This brain teaser Advent Calendar looks like a lot of fun. It comes in a larger box than expected and it looks substantial and nice for gift giving. It has a mix of wooden, metal, and plastic/rubber puzzles. You tear open a hole in the box to reveal the prize for the day. It's cool.

This is such a fun and unique adventure calendar idea. It comes in a box with flaps ready to poke open and pull out the new puzzle. The puzzles are able to be done again and again. The are challenging, but fun. They are not impossible! Fun for the whole family.

Every year on Thanksgiving, our elf on a shelf brings the kids an advent calendar in anticipation of Christmas fun. And my daughter LOVES all things fidget....Great product and an even greater idea honestly! I've taken it out of the packaging from what i could and saw the quality firsthand... none of the holes are open so that works out for a better quality than some we have gotten in other years (from different brands).
