Great
I purchased this package back in January of 2015.Personally, I use this activity band to keep track of my day to day use. I attempted to use this to measure and record my weight lifting workouts, but I personally didn't like having the strap around my chest. This product was mainly used for activities that involved constant motion such as running, walking, basketball, and biking (with the HR monitor synced to the phone app) but of course there were pros and cons in regards to this. First I will start with the cons.Cons:Polar Loop Activity Band:-When I first purchased this package, I had a massive headache trying to sync my polar loop to my phone (android). I suppose it was still in the beginning stages of software development, but my oh my it was a horrendous experience. Some days it would sync, some days it wouldn't, and some days it would sync up until 2 P.M. and stop syncing afterwards. But after several weeks, they released an update that fixed all of the issues that I and most android users were experiencing. Basically it was a temporary but lengthy software issue on their part.-The band itself is decent, but the only thing that really bugged me was that I had to cut the strap it self in order to make it fit my wrist. Another thing to note is that the by doing so, if you want to make it larger for any reason you would either have to purchase a new one or contact customer support.H7 Bluetooth heart rate monitor paired with Activity band and or Phone-Personally, I'd like to see my heart rate on both my activity band and still use the GPS app provided by POLAR BEAT. But it's either one or the other, you can't connect to both your phone and your app.-Data wise, it would be nice if the POLAR FLOW app could sync to the online version of POLAR FLOW. Some days I would forget to sync my activity band to my phone or my computer and some days I would do one but not the other. As a result I have scattered data on my phone app and a complete set of data on my computer.Activity-It doesn't really register physical activity that involves little movement, like weight lifting. And as a result, I would have completed only 20% of my daily goal even if I spent 2 hours in the gym squatting 1000 reps.Neutral:-This is neutral for me because I'm not really concerned with the aspect of this watch. After a full night sleep, it tells me that I took 150 steps....-Calories burned without the heart rate monitor isn't as accurate, but hey it's just basing the amount of calories you burned based on the settings you set on your computer or on the phone.Pros:Polar Loop Activity Band-I absolutely love how this activity band can display the time, calories burned, steps taken, and what you need to do in order to achieve your daily goal. If you manage to not roll onto the watch and turn on the LED screen in the middle of the night, it will greet you with a good morning! Haha! In addition to that, once you reach your daily goal, it does a little celebration, just for you!-No buttons are involved, you simply touch the rectangular square on the fitness band and it'll activate.-Charging from 10% to 90% is quite fast, that last 10% takes a while though.-Sleek, low profile, fashionable.H7 Bluetooth Heart Rate Monitor-It registers your heart rate quite accurately, so long as you get a descent amount of contact with the strap it self.-The strap it self is quite durable, fits quite snug, and the metal part is made of stainless steel.-Has gymlink, meaning it can connect to a treadmill that has that technology.Software-Very simple to navigate through polar flow-Very appealing-Tells you how much you've been sitting.. haha...-It has a GPS function! All in all, this is a great product. The app is constantly improving, and the product it self is holding up quite well.I am satisfied.

Disappointed.
Like others I wanted to like the Loop, however I'm very disappointed. After reviewing several other activity trackers I selected the Loop with H7 heart rate sensor so I would be able to monitor my daily activity level, including heart rate. The manufacturer claims that the Loop will monitor your steps, calories burned, and heart rate (requires the H7 sensor) and display time of day. The following is my initial impression after a two weeks of use.Appearance/comfort - 4 of 5 stars. I find the appearance and fit to be acceptable. I also like the fact that the loop displays tracking information on the device, including calories burned, steps, heart rate, time, and semi-customizable goals.Customizable wrist band - 3 of 5. If done properly it fits well. To size it requires cutting the band to size, so be careful once you cut too much there is no going back.Polar flow app and web service - 3 of 5. To track your progress you must setup an account online, which links with the app you can down load to your smart phone. The down side to this is that your information is now on the web. Another issue I have is that the app does not always sync when you manually activate it (tapping the button on the loop). The web and app store and give you detail as to your daily, weekly, and monthly progress.Battery Life 1 of 5. Nowhere near the six days stated in the owner's manual. One and half to two days at best. I assume the reduce life is due to on-the-go syncing with the phone app, once every hour, and using the H7 both bluetooth interfaces.Steps counted - 0 of 5. As others have noted the Loop does not accurately record your steps. I have run several trials, to my disappointment, nowhere close. This feature is nothing more than a gimmick.Calories burned - 2 of 5. I assume that the algorithm takes into account your age, weight, activity level, steps, and workouts (with H7). Since steps are not accurate I'm not sure this has much value.Heart rate monitor - 5 of 5. At least this feature appears to have value. Not only can you see your heart rate on the Loop and, if so equipped, your heart rate will be transmitted to the displays of treadmills, elliptical machines, and stationary bikes.Overall (with H7) - 2 of 5Overall (without H7) - 0.5 of 5. Without the H7, at best this is nothing more than an expensive time piece with a short battery life and a non continuous display. In my opinion the loop by itself is gimmicky, an expensive conversation piece.I believe overtime that one or two of the companies now competing for our activity tracker dollars will develop a viable product. Two I have seen recently have peaked my interest the Fitbit Charge and the Garmin Vivofit. Maybe next year at this time the field will be narrowed and the serious activity tracker developers will have made significant strides in useful and usable technology, software, and interface.
