Does not pick up sound unless you are right next to it , its not a spy recorder because you have to hold it right next to what you want to record. Waste of money and time

I purchased this device in July 2018 and used it weekly up until last week. I have always made sure the device was charged before using as the instructions stated and I removed old files before recording new ones even the product states it will hold several hours of recording. Once you record for however long you record you have to delete those files before using it again. Anyway I used the device last week and it did not record, the red light came on and stayed on, i called tech support and the guy troubled shoot with me and still nothing worked. The tech guy told me to turn it on let the battery drain all the way and recharge it for 3 hours and then record and if it does not work call me back and we will try something else. Well that didnt work. I called today and talked to a kenneth who really didnt care and I told him it seems like the device just stopped working all of a sudden. He said "yeah, that's what it sounds like", there is nothing i can do for you its out of warranty". I guess out of warranty because its now November?? So this company's device will only work for so long and then it will not work any more. If you think it is worth paying $100 for a device that will only work for about for 3 months have at it! smh
