Awesome Budget Friendly Starter
Rower arrived yesterday and seemed fairly simple to assemble - took my husband about 30 minutes. The metal bar that holds the pedals in place was the only somewhat difficult part. Used it for the first time today (in combo with my Peloton app), and it is a great machine. It held my phone in place easily, glided smoothly, was mostly quiet, and provided ample resistance for a beginning rower, and I appreciate its small footprint. There’s no way someone over maybe 6’2” could use it though. All in all, highly recommend for anyone looking for a starter row machine.

Very sturdy, competitively priced inertia wheel rowing machine
Machine is very sturdy and not as flimsy as some reviewers claim. The pull resistance is adequate, but could use two more higher notches for a greater resistance level. The machine is very adequate and comfortable for someone under 6 feet tall. Not really suited for a taller person. Very functional for the cost. Highly recommended. Five stars for functionality and affordability. Five stars.A few observations requiring 4 stars.Machine was designed by a committee where members did not speak to one another. Clearances for bolt insertion at back support leg is very tight due to slopping vertical member. Difficult to use the provided hex wrench and with clearances elsewhere on the unit. All bolts, washers and wrenches nicely identified and organized on a cardboard card. Unit is very heavy at nearly 42 lbs providing exercise as one assembles it. A very sturdy unit.Instruction manual difficult to read as written in 4 pica format and at times a little confusing requiring some pre steps to accomplished what is suggested in the assembly instructions. Instructions on operating the lcd monitor not very clear. Need to be nimble and mechanically inclined to assemble easily, although given enough time the uninitiated would eventually get it done. The hex wrench needs to be replaced with a screw driver style hex driver. All of the components are securely taped into the styrofoam packaging. There is a lot of tape. Will require a sharp knife to free the parts. Be very careful in the area of the pull handle as the connecting web strap is under a lot of tape risking cutting the strap if not careful. The lcd monitor will not fit into the holder because the depth of the holder is very shallow and there is no way to tuck the electrical wires into the hollow of the monitor pipe stand . The wires are too short and keep popping out. Use a piece of wood or plastic cut to the proper size and length (5 inches) inserting into the holder opening. Then simply insert the hollow opening of the pipe monitor over the wood member. Dress the very short electrical wires at the side of the wooden member and into the slot of the monitor hollow pipe holder.Use the styrofoam packaging to support the big components off of the floor to provide the clearance when assembling the unit and for for alignment when attaching the two main structural members.

Nice machine
I'm 64 years old and have a bad back but this machine hasn't made my back hurt as of yet. It seems to work many muscles. It's a nice, well made machine and was packed nice and it's easy to use. The only thing I have a hard time with is the information center but I guess I will learn it.

Quiet, works well, seat is unbearable
The rower is nice and quiet as advertised, I am 6'1 and it fits me just fine (although there is very little room for anyone taller), the adjustable feet allow it to sit perfectly on the ground, and the display works fine (it does not have bluetooth). The two issues I have:The tension available is not enough. Most machines in a gym would have tension about 3x as strong as the strongest available on this machine. The seat is UNBEARABLE. I have never sat on a machine where the seat is this aggressively uncomfortable. From the moment I sit down, even before beginning to row, it is AWFUL. I bought a gel office seat cover and put a towel on top, and that allows me to use the machine for about 25 minutes without having to take a break because of the horrible seat. I'm probably going to go to an upholstry shop and ask them to redo the seat. Unfortunately that will likely cost more than the entire machine does, so it's probably best to avoid this machine and get something a bit more expensive to avoid the additional cost of trying to put up with the seat.

Great for the price
I am 82 kg, 5ft 8in and the rower handles quite nicely. Build quality is good. Stable and functions well. Delivered way ahead of schedule which was great. I wish the rower handle itself is a bit higher and farther but I get that that would have jacked up the cost. Some challenges with the assembly, particularly the rails alignment and the bolts locking the rails together. The screen stand was also a pain to insert into the main rower unit. But very satisfied overall and would recommend this product.

well constructed and worth the money.
The screen post did not fit ...I had to file it down in order to fit.

Quiet, tension feels fine for what it is.
Was on track for a 5 star review, until it wasn’t. Giving 4 stars but you should read that as more of a 3.75. First, fairly easy to put together by myself (female, my head and heart say I’m still in my 30’s but since my kid is in his 30’s, obviously they are lying to me). Came well-packaged so was surprised the slide rail tubes did not want to fit onto the mainframe. They seemed pushed in a bit and would not manually separate just the little bit further needed, at least with one person. Luckily the styrofoam packing was pretty thick and I was able to break off a piece and wedge it between the tubes to widen them enough to get the step done. A couple of extra washers and screws would have been nice and warranted for the price point but I eventually found the few that I dropped, I guess that’s on me but still, no room for error or omission. Biggest issue was the monitor not fitting into the hole in the mainframe. No way, no how without further work on my part (others have reported same). Took as long to sand/shave the metal post to seat it as it did for all the other steps. Success at last but I should never have had to do that. Otherwise, at 5’4”, the fit and reach are ok, the action is smooth and quiet, and the machine feels sturdy. For those interested, a short screwdriver with a 3/32 hex head bit will substitute for the Allen wrench for every screw step except one (a stubby screwdriver might do all), the provided multi-wrench tool was fine for the pedal bolts.
