I feel compelled to leave a review for these bath mats because I think they're great. Judging from some of the negative comments however, quite a few people don't understand what this product actually is - a cotton bath mat. No, not a rubber-backed "rug" type of mat! Just an old-school, heavy, terry-cloth (yes, like a towel but thicker) bath mat. And yes, they are like what you would find in a hotels, because they are machine washable!Anyway, I grew up using these mats, and our family prefers them to the rubber-backed kind, because you can wash them regularly and hang them up over the tub or shower door to dry. I've noticed in recent years that they are becoming more difficult to find in favor of stores selling cushy, foamy, frou-frou types of bath mats. But we don't like those.We purchased the charcoal mats and they look great, are nice and thick, and exactly what we wanted. They held up well in the first wash, with little lint that I could see. So, if you're like us, and you want a towel-like bath mat, then these are a great value!

These are better than I expected! If you're looking for a RUG with rubber backing, this is not it. These are what they have at hotels that hang over the edge of the tub, to be put on the floor while showering/bathing. I saw several reviews complaining that they were "towels" or not "rugs" which leads me to believe they didn't actually read the product description, unless they immediately forgot what they read? Anyhow, these have a nice thickness to them, heavier than my previous ones. Wash well, color stays true (so far) and dry nice. They are also a little bigger than what I had before. I won't complain over having more room to step out of the shower. Definitely a must if this is what you're looking for!

These are very nice bath mats. They are towels, not rugs; they do not have padding or a backing. The weight is about average for a nice bath towel. The size is a bit larger than most, which is a bonus, as is the fact there are two for this phenomenal price! The towel does not slip on our tile floors and when hung up afterwards, easily dries out by afternoon in our humid climate. It is absorbent so it feels less wet than the memory foam rugs used previously. The linen color is a nice neutral color that would go well in most color themes, and very close to the color pictured .

I purchased these COTTON CRAFT Madison Set of 2 Heavyweight Tub Mats because (after a massive detailing inside of my car after it became infested with rats inside and out) I wanted to lay them flat in the trunk area of my RAV4. It helped to make the car look brand new and matches the coloring of the inside of the car perfectly. I understand this is a different type of usage -- but if anyone has a similar Toyota (2004) know that this color is PERFECT. I would've loved one long perfect fitting cover but these are awesome side by side with an overlap. I love these so much I might even get a set of these, with matching towels, for my bathroom (in the future; in brown, if available).

I bought two of these bath mats in light blue. The color is really nice and true to the picture. It is kind of hard to find a bath mat in stores. I didn't want a bath rug with a rubber backing, I wanted a bath mat that I could put in front of the tub or shower and then hang up. These rugs are great. They are nice and thick and very sturdy. As they don't have a rubber backing, they will slide on the floor but they stay put if you pay attention to what you're doing. Whenever you want to wash them, just throw them in the washer/dryer with the towels. If you want a really nice bath mat, I think you will like these.

A lot of people think these are towels; that's because they failed to read the description. These are amazing quality bath mats. They are thin, and appear to be a towel, however they are very absorbent an hold a lot of water. I can step out of the shower dripping wet, and the mat holds all of the water plus dries very quickly hanging over the shower door. They wash beautifully, unlike the foam backed mats that don't clean well and take forever to dry. I ordered two of these and I am ordering more for my other bathroom. Excellent product!

I was completely surprised that these came in a double pack. I bought the blue ones as my bathroom was paintedlight blue. The quality is very good and I only set out one as it is fine for the full bathroom and I want to save'the second one if and when the towel mat gets old. That should take some time but I like to look at the towel matas it is so attractive hung on the towel rack. It adds a splash of color as I don't overly decorate our bathroom.I was happy to find them on Amazon and the price was reasonable. They are not a thick mat but made oftoweling material. I have had no one say they were too slippery to use as they are like the old fashioned typewithout a backing on them. I like that they wash up as nice as my towels do.

Nearly all the negative reviews of these mats are from people who are evidently unfamilar with the classic, step-out bath mat -- the sort of mat many of us have used for decades, and the sort of mat hotels use. These are not rugs. They are not meant to stay on the floor after use. You bathe or shower, step out onto one of these, dry yourself off, then hang this mat to dry along with your towel, and both dry in about the same length of time. The mats can be laundered easily, washed and dried as often as you like -- after a single use, or after a few. These bath mats are generously sized, thick enough to feel good underfoot but thin enough to dry as they're supposed to.
