Decent item for the price.
Yes you can spend $400 or more on a professional grade version, but for the price this item works fairly well.Pros-Inexpensive-Easy to use-Works well for MACRO photos-Various filter options come with it (clear, smoke, blue, yellow)-Fits multiple sized lens sizes-Multiple options on how to use it (flash vs always on, left side, right side, and multiple brightness levels)Cons-Not the highest quality materials but not awful-The light actually does not lock into place at the end of the lens but instead "spins" loosely which can make using the "half" light option difficult.Long story short is that for the price you are getting a decent MACRO flash/light. So 5 stars given the price to quality ratio.

Camera ring light
Great ease of use. Has many options and functions. Know your camera, then know this ring light is essential for low lighting and needing brilliant capturing of your subject.

It's Alright for the Price
It'll not knock your socks off though. The light is bright, and in light mode it will do its job, which is what I personally was mainly looking for. It attaches easily enough using the correct lens connectors to just about any camera or lens, it provides decent close up light (though it will not replace a proper ring light for video! This is more a light for macro photography, not for youtube/other video content. Look for an 18 inch ring light for that or look for a luxcube/LED cube type of setup for that) for the money. Why the dinged stars then? It is kind of a pain once on, as you can't put any sort of lens filters on there alongside the light adapter. You also will not be able to use your lens cap while its on, meaning you are stuck with it exposed to the elements until you decide to take it off. And finally, the big negative, the flash on this thing DOES NOT have any form of shutter speed adjustment setting. It will not read the speed of the shutter on your camera, nor does it appear to be adjustable Meaning in order to use the flash, you must set your shutter speed to its speed, or else it will flash pre or postmaturely for proper exposure. Annoying, and very much limits the use case for the flash. However, for 30 bucks? The light is good, its not too annoying to use, and it works essentially as advertised.

It worked one time (flash mode), then stopped.
I am disappoint. ;)The constant light will work, assuming the incredibly poorly molded white diffuser stays on the front of the light .. but the flash doesn't work after one try. I changed batteries, removed / replaced on camera .. nothing makes this unit "flash" again.I'm thinking that all I paid for is a ring light for my macro lens. I just got this today, so will play with it until this set of batteries dies (likely in a few hours, going by other reviews), and then will have to decide whether to return it.I purchased for nearly $40 on Feb 1st, 2024. There's a Godox unit available for $90 that looks much more likely to work a little longer (https://www.amazon.com/Speedlite-5800K%C2%B1200K-Panasonic-Production-Photography/dp/B0BJ8WPXVV/), and maybe be a bit better build quality. That'll most likely be the next thing I try.I've gotten what I paid for here, and I am not complaining because I read the reviews first and knew what was likely to happen .. and despite that, I am surprised that it's this poorly made. It'll work for very basic fooling around, which is all I am ready for right now, but .. we'll see how long the fun lasts.Be very careful not to cross-thread the mounts on the front of your lens .. these are pretty soft-plastic mounts and are likely to get stuck if you apply very much force.

Ring light for camera lens.
This is a wonderful item to have in your bag for photographing items (usually macro). You can adjust the intensity on left side or right side and add a filter of either blue, yellow or white (defused). Itcan be set for continuous light or flash. This us the second one I bought because I couldn't find the 1st one (Murphys Law). Well worth the money! ;)

do *NOT* buy!!!!!
The media could not be loaded. I ordered the ploture led ring light. I received it today and was excited to try it. I opened it, read the instructions and found the correct ring size. went to put the ring light on the lens ring and the button to release/connect the ring light is stuck. so one side works and the other doesn't. the ring light will not stay connected to anything. I even tried the other size adapters. it just falls off. so I am out $40+. do NOT buy this. just pay more and get a nice quality one. *I also tried it out without actually attaching the light to the lens. it's louder than i expected. it makes a mechanical whirring noise constantly. the screw on adapters for the lens feels very cheap. the flash mode also is useless. it doesn't fire on time. I tried it inside in a very well lit area, and using a 200 mm f2.8 lens, as close as I could get to an object, it's still not bright enough. this is not worth $40 even if it wasn't defective. this is a very cheap ring light. buy at your own risk but I would NOT reccomend.

Great value for the money
I got this light/flash today and I am very satisfied with it.Pros1. It is bright enough for MACRO photography. The distance is very short.2. It is easy to use and install once you figure out how to install and use it.3. It puts light where you need it.4. The light strength is adjustable.5. The price. You can see if a ring light is good for you without spending a ton of money.6. The weight. This thing is super light, compact and will fit is almost any bag.Cons1. The 55mm lens cap will not fit while this is installed.2. If you have a lens hood you may have issues.
