CAD STAGE7 Audio 7-Piece Drum Microphone Pack, Case, (7) FREE XLR 20' Mic Cables

I was a little skeptical at first about a 7 piece drum mic set for the price. We have all always heard that the more you spend the better quality you get. I had bounced around the idea of buying industry standard Shure drum mics but just couldn't force myself to spend that type of money. Typically when we play this is what most of the clubs supply. However once I hooked these up I was nothing but impressed. The snare and tom mics picked up excellent I was able to clearly hear them through my drum wedge. The pencil condensers were also great I placed one as an over head closer to my ride cymbal and one pointing at the hit-hat's. They gave my crisp clear sound and picked up little residual noise. The kick drum mic however was the most impressive. Placed properly this mic picked up just as good if not better than the $700 house mic they had been placing in my kick. They key to this set was placement and playing around with getting the best tones. It also helps having an excellent sound engineer at your shows and someone who is as committed to you sounding great. Overall this was an excellent purchase. I have not tried these in the studio but that was not my intent on purchase. I wanted a road worthy set of mics and that is exactly what I got. If you have doubt look up reviews on the web / you-tube. I did extensive research before purchasing these and everything I read was more than accurate.

Bought this mic set in 2012, I immediately heard an improvement on my drums over all sound. Didn't really need much EQ, just typical compression and gating. The condenser mic's are incredible. I thought because of the price that it wouldn't quite sound right. I was wrong. CAD made a great sounding, looking and durable mic set. It's 2014 and their still kicking. The way they fit on the kit is quite sturdy. Their is a plastic that does a good job at blocking vibrations from toms and kick drum. If ur on a budget, or just need a backup set. I recommend this set.
