Disappointed with my original purchase of the UMX AS3Xtra.
Hello . .Usually I have had nothing but great experiences with any E-flite purchases I've made. But the UMX AS3Xtra was the exception to experience. To cut to the chase....... I received my UMX AS3Xtra on time.It arrived in perfect shape.I unpacked it and was able to bind it with my transmitter without any problems.I flew it a couple of times the first day I received it, without any problems. On the next day, I noticed that the batteries weren't lasting very long. After trying several different batteries, I realized it wasn't the batteries that was my problem. It was the motor on my UMX AS3Xtra going bad. It began losing power after each attempt I made to fly it, and then it finally would run at all.I finally ended up having to buy another UMX AS3Xtra plane.... .Because, I didn't see where you can purchase a new motor for mine.My new one came in, and it's been flying flawless so far.Again, overall, I have always been satisfied with E-flite products.I just happen to get a dud!I wonder if anyone else has had the experience I had with this model.ThanksMervin

If you look at it funny it will break
Beware. First off. I have flown RC for 40 years. Thought I would try 3d. This plane is made out of flimsy Styrofoam. You read that right. The foam is about 1/16 inch. If you look at it funny it will break. When you pick it up you have to be very careful or it will break. It does fly great, but do not buy this if you are learning. Forget it. Also. The pictures are deceiving. The image you see here is the only nice side. The bottom, and left sides are raw styrofoam. The covering on what I got was very wrinkled. Because if they heat shrunk it, it would crush the 1/16 styrofoam. If you are an expert this is a great play to show off. If you are not. Move on.

Awesome plane!
Wow this is the best place in it's class, I've banged it a few times in the grass nose first and barley any damage. it's very delict though so you gotta be careful when moving it or transporting it because it's so light. This little guy can rip through some decent wind even though its light.

Might be cool for an expert pilot
Bought this plane and arrived damaged In box. It is so thin and fragile, I decided to return and not re-buy. Might be cool for an expert pilot, but I bought an eflite p47 19" and have not looked back since, way more plane for the Money.

E-Flite UMX Basic
The flimsy construction of the plane was unacceptable. The concept of the plane and electronics is excellent and the flight performance of the plane was excellent. E-Flite has to come up with better materials for these lightweight profile foamies.
