I do not understand why this table has gotten any negative reviews. It is a cute, sturdy, functional table and works great!It took me quite a while to assemble it because the screw holes are tricky if you don't look at the picture of the finished table and figure out how to put the legs in the correct position to get them to line up appropriately. I only had to unscrew one leg to get the pattern down so I wouldn't repeat my mistake.As far as the tabletop surface, I put a layer of varathane on the top and buffed it up to give it a hazy effect so it wouldn't scratch. The material is thin and it normally does scratch easily but I did not expect top-of-the-line wood for the price.It is a very sturdy table and fits perfectly in my small space. When I move, it will be a cafe table for my deck. If I want to change the color, I will paint it. There are many fun things you can do with this table and I am very happy with it!Great price, very cute, excellent stability, and perfect for the reason I bought it. :)

This table set is perfect in my dining room. Love the height; and the bar stools are extremely comfortable.You do need a screw driver handy. It’s not hard to put together but it took me some time.Does creak/slight shift when pushed on. I have no fear of it breaking, but I would not go slamming a backpack full of bricks on it 🤣.This is a peaceful breakfast area piece 👍🏻.

I was very disappointed when this product arrived damaged. The corner of the table top itself had been completely smashed in (like it was dropped). It is a beautiful wood table and the finish is quite lovely however it really discouraged me from buying any more pieces via internet. People need to be more careful when delivering. I did keep the table using some furniture oil to press into and remold the corner. It fits nice in my small dining area space...stools are a great height & I love the leather cushions. Assembly is quite easy and the dining set overall is durable. Doesn't look cheap.

The table is the perfect size for the space I am using it in. It was easy to assemble and looks very nice. If I had one criticism, it would be that I wish the table was more sturdy. The stools feel very sturdy, but if the table gets bumped, it rocks a little. My husband plans to reinforce it. For the price, however, I am very satisfied with my purchase.

This is...without a doubt the worst "small investment" Ive ever made in my life. Long story short. One of the main runners under the table top was completely off the underside of the table! Completely! Ripped off with shredded wood!. Its was supposed to be permanently attached like the right side was. I had to "Liquid Nails" it to the underside! Then one of the stools was OK and the other had parts that didn't match up! Hence..the stool stood very crooked and the smaller bars on the bottom were not in a straight line across! A useless stool. A huge list of what to do and check for. Lots of "This and That"instructions before assembling. That's just to cover themselves when a customer gets junk delivered that they're aware of the consequences. Its all about them, not the customers satisfaction. Sure...we have the option to send it back. One doesn't realize the thing doesn't fit the pre-drilled holes until they're almost done. By then its too later to send back with Liquid Nails smeared on it and split wooden pieces from forcing. If they fit there wouldn't be this issue! I'm am still furious about this. Yeah..it was only $149.00 but that's a lot to a person who has little. This fact doesn't matter to the millionaire seller. So long as they get paid. They don't care. Roundhill you are a HUGE disappointment and I pray no one ever buys your junk product again.

The first set we ordered came damaged due to the delivery. The box was destroyed with tears & holes. We sent it back and ordered another one. Our heart sank as again the box was destroyed. What is with UPS? But happy to say everything was OK inside this time. It took no time for us to put it together. It is solid and attractive and is exactly the look we wanted in our condo kitchen. We are very surprised in how well the whole set is made. We saw the same set at City Furniture for more money and the stools had a hard wood top, not the nice cushioned seats. Well worth the money!

This set is really sharp looking and well-made. I had to put it together, but it was very simple to do and it came with the parts I needed so I didn't have to purchase anything extra. It is small, but the space in my kitchen is too, so it works for me. It's comfortable, for the most part, but if you are looking to lounge as you might on a dining room set, this isn't the set for you. It serves its purpose well.

I was really excited to receive this furniture set, as my husband and I have a small apartment and this was just what we needed. However, while the table works fine, the stools are extremely flimsy, shifting back and forth when you sit down or lean one way or the other. You can feel the wood frame through the top cushion of the seat, so you have to sit just right for it to be comfortable. I was extremely embarrassed when a guest sat down on the stool and one of the legs cracked. The next question would obviously be, "well are they heavy people?" I'm a tall, athletic 175 lbs, (if that's problematic, maybe a weight limit could be posted on the product description). My friend who cracked the chair was a petite, 110 lb. girl. All of this to say, I'm very disappointed with the quality of these stools, and the materials used to make them. While it's a good price, my unfortunate suggestion would be to go with something of higher quality.

This piece is the perfect addition to our kitchen. The chairs are comfortable and the set is easy to put together. I would highly recommend this piece for smaller eating areas.

Aesthetically, its really pleasing and its a great size for a little apartment. Easy to build besides the stools for the most part but the main downside is the table gets stratch marks from almost anything. I dont really want to be careful when it comes to my kitchen table but it is what it is.

A really beautiful look. Does not mark up like previous review indicated. It is surprisingly mark-resistant for black furniture actually. The stools are not as solid as I would like; otherwise, I would have rated it a 5. All in all though a very good purchase and I am very happy with it! Would highly recommend it as a very attractive piece for a small space. Very fast delivery too....arrived ahead of schedule.

The stools are wobbly and one is cracked.
