Expected better
3.5 starsRobinson ed.Pages have virtually no margin, making annotations, besides underlining, is impossible. Expected better quality paper for the price, feels like mass market paperback. Content-wise is really good and an essential psychotherapist read.

Best book to begin with on your journey of becoming a client-centered (or PCT) therapist! Carl Rogers speaks volumes from just the page alone. Amazing man, concept, and theoretical lens.

Great summary of Rogerian Therapy
I love Rogerian Therapy. Humanistic and positive psychology would have never existed if it wasn't for him. This book illustrates how to use the principles and the history behind them. A great read for psychology enthusiasts and practitioners of various types.

Ótima leitura
Uma leitura necessária às pessoas que se dedicam à psicoterapia e aconselhamento psicológico. Possui uma linguagem acessível porém mais técnica do que a encontrada em Tornar-se pessoa, do mesmo autor.

Damaged and looks “used” not new.
1 of the 2 books was like new - this one has been used and has damage also. Packaging was fine. So it was actually sent out in this condition. Disappointed.

Soooooooo good
Sooooooo good. I read "On becoming a person" and "A way of being" first and was steeling myself up to read this giant of a book after already being on a bit of a carl rogers overload... But this is THE TEXT for person centred counselling.. so I had to tackle it sooner or later. Can I just say that this is soooooooooooooo gooooooooooood. The tone is totally different from the other two books and I've just been gobbling it up page after page after page. It is more structured than the other two, and is a bit more of an instructional text. It explains things clearly and simply and I really just enjoyed reading it.
