NETGEAR WMS5316-100NAS - Discontinued by Manufacturer

This was a new network install for a large three story building whose owners wanted to add wireless access throughout. This will handle up to 16 wireless access points and makes configuration and management easy via a browser interface with only one device to log into instead of each individual access points.There were a couple of sequences in how the screens were configured that did not make sense to me, but a brief phone call to Netgear tech support cleared up the problem. Like the PoE Smart Switch I also reviewed this can be configured for remote access and has not had to be rebooted or modified since it came on line over three months ago.The problem some reviewers reported of problems with mixing other brand access points was overcome by using Netgear access points. An easy solution for a new install. So I cannot speak to the problem reported of mixing brands.In addition to a one stop log in and configuration point for all of the access points scattered about the building the WMS5316 watches for intruders on the network and once every 24 hours, surveys the network for interference and conflicts. I can re-assign radio frequencies to enhance network speed and clarity. This is a very useful function if you have other businesses close by that may be installing new equipment that could cause conflicts.I am not quoting an even larger network installation and will definitely use this system again.

Doesn't work with all ap's was a headache and netgear would warranty the fact they they advertise wnap210 to work but doesn't work. I returned it. Your much better off just using wnap210 on its own, its the fasted wifi access point i have used.
