Polaris has a problem with this design. Weak point of the whole shifting linkage. Mine came apart in the middle of nowhere. Thanks Polaris!Here’s the fix I used. I took the linkage arm to a machine shop and had a hole drilled in the very end of it, just behind this plastic bushing. Put a Cotter pin through the hole. No way it can back out now!That part is under the shift lever. The other end of the linkage arm connects to the transmission. That part is connected with a nut and bolt. It has a tendency to loosen too. I used the OEM bolt. The bolt comes through the arm with the threads facing you. Put the arm on. I added a flat washer, then a lock washer then a locking nut. Doesn’t come loose now. Wonder why Polaris didn’t think of that?

Exceeds expectations

Item was delivered quicker than scheduled. Part is an OEM Polaris part. Fit perfectly. If you have never installed one, a little trick. Install the bushing into the shifter fork on the transmission first, then insert the shifter lever rod. It is the only way it will install.

My 2015 Polaris 570 special edition failed to shift,lever moved but,no engagement. The retainer clip had worn out. Easy replacement, new clip works excellent. I use quad to plow,so shifter gets a lot of use,hence the wear.
