The best, most useful book for the South African bush

First came across this book staying with a friend in South Africa - took it everywhere with me. Very interesting - neither dumbs down or is over scientific. Enjoyed it so much purchased a copy on my return to UK - looking forward to my next trip out there!

I grew up in Africa and know my animals well, my partner who is English does not. I bought her this book and it has been really helpful and interesting for her... I also enjoyed reading this well thought out book.

Our African guides had this on a recent Exodus camping trip, Vic Falls to Cape Town & our group found it invaluable to read up and find additional info on flora & fauna. Bought it on my return to UK. Still dipping into it now, lots of useful stuff and pics

Having seen this book while on a trip to the Kruger National Park, I decided to buy a copy when I returned.It is an excellent book, well organised, very good information and excellent photographs and diagrams. A welcome addition to my stock of travel books.

Great book with lots of information and nice pictures for identifying the numerous different animals. I found it better than most of the other books I tested for the same purpose (game driving in South Africa near the Kruga and on Sabi Sands) so very pleased with the purchase
