Like all DCC Concepts products, these appear to be well engineered and packaged. Other products have been reliable and the staff friendly and helpful. But...."The Cobalt SS point motor is so small it can almost be hidden in the ballast" - Not so. You'd need ballast over half an inch thick! But they are small. Indeed, the linkage is so tiny you'll need nimble fingers and good lighting to install. The instructions are unclear in some parts. These are being revised. The control boards are not small, however, and you could end up with about 20 wire connections to these! Imagine doing that on your back below the layout!So you eventually get them fitted, but setting them up can be problematic. There are many on-line references to this. But assuming you master this hurdle and test them successfully, it's time to ballast the track. Beware! Even a grain of ballast or a hint of adhesive will cause the points to stick, and they'll require resetting. So you get them ballasted and tested again and with luck you're successful. So now you decide to weather the track. Same rigmarole! You get the picture? These are for expert modellers with limitless patience. Use Cobalt IP Digital motors instead!
