Hand Made Wooden Auctioneer's Palm / Pocket Gavel with Sounding Block, made from solid Oak wood. Gavel Weight: 100g, Height 9cm, Width 5cm. Sounding Block Weight: 100g, Diameter 10cm, Height 2cm. This gavel set has been finished with friction polish to perserve and display the natural grain of the oak wood. All the gavels I produce are Handmade by me in my rural crafts workshop in Eastbourne. By the nature of the hand work no two gavels are exactly alike - in that sense quite unique. The slight variations is a matter for personal pride in these handmade articles, a characteristic not found in machine-made goods.
