First you have to remember this was $7, so expectations are fairly low. Took me under two hours to assemble. As others have noted case is not ideal (not room for the solder bumps on the bottom for me) but I did manage to squeeze it in. Output waveshape is OK, have to be careful with clipping to top rail, but again, $7.Fun, functional enough to be useful and cheap!

Works to create square, triangle and sin signals at various frequencies. Jumpers and dials are pretty accurate to the available ranges, making the devices easier to use.When testing function generation, 400KHz and above were easily picked up by other DIY oscilloscopes. I've also had devices able to pick up the square wave more easily than the sin wave, so give this a shot if you're having trouble.

This could be a 1 or 3 star review. I went looking for a sig gen and came across this. I needed two 5 volt pulse trains for a arduino project I am doing. This looked like it would do the job, not the case. The amplitude was not adjustable on Sq wave, only sin and tri are adjustable. The freq was not stable. Looked up IC spec and saw it need more than 9V to work correctly. Sine Wave shape is bad. I bought 3 of these and only build one. side note: I just bought and received this KKmoon High Precision Digital DDS Dual-channel Signal Source Generator and it was only 60$. I am impressed with it.

The item does work, but amplitude varies with frequency which makes taking measurements more complicated.

Function Generator is easy to assemble, does require 12 volt supply for best performance.The output is DC offset appx 1/2 the supply voltage.Did have to trim plastic housing slightly near the power supply connector.Tried to operate at 9VDC but signal easily distorted.After soldering, solder side of board was cleaned with isopropanol Alcohol.

Works well for what it is. correct parts were supplied and fits case.
