I’m very happy with this product. My family has an old Gulbransen studio piano that doesn’t have its original key, and with me taking lessons now which lead us to get the piano in shape we needed to make sure my little cousins can’t bang in the keys and break anything. Worked great and I’m relieved to have the ability to lock the fall board.

We needed a way to baby-proof our baby grand piano and this little key did the trick perfectly!

This key works perfectly with our antique player piano. Now I can prevent my inconsiderate BIL from loudly playing our piano when other guests are trying to have a conversation in the same room during one of our parties. We can just lock it up beforehand! LOL! :)

I have an old upright piano that was bought at an auction. It's only use for now, until I can upcycle it to something that takes up less room, is to drive me completely out of my mind. I think kids can smell a piano for miles. Visiting kids immediately seek it out, fling it open, and commence pounding the keys. Surprisingly, no one has questioned why it no longer opens. Yet. And, no one will ever find the key. I'll take it's whereabouts to my grave. Best purchase from Amazon ever.

Just a small keychain toy. Not an actual key. Smaller than the palm of your hand. Bad buy.

When deciding to order this key, I thought to myself, "why would there be a different triangle key for an upright versus a baby grand - surely they're the same." Well, they aren't. This "upright" key is a smaller triangle than the one for the key-cover on our 1920's Baldwin baby grand. If your OCD will keep you awake at night over the key not being the exact one, then continue your search. However, it still actuates the locking mechanism just fine, since it doesn't require much force to turn, and will still do the job, just fine.
