DockLinQ Pro Bluetooth 5.0 Adapter Receiver for Bose Sounddock and 30 pin iPod iPhone Music Docking Station(Not for Cars)

I bought this to provide bluetooth connectivity between my phone and my old Bose sound dock. I plugged it in and had it working in a few minutes. The sound is good. It met all my expectations. I'm giving it 5 stars overall but I'm docking it one star because the volume is a little less than the volume from my old Ipod. I'm mainly writing this review to clarify how the connectivity works because it wasn't clear from the description.1) The bluetooth connection with my android phone was fast and worked first time. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. As I suspected, the one downside is that once set up, it will attempt to connect with your phone every time it comes within range. Obviously, this can be a problem if you want to make or receive phone calls in the house or use another bluetooth speaker as I do. To overcome this, on Android 12.0, swipe down to bring up the quick settings menu, press and hold the bluetooth button, and then press disconnect. To reconnect, repeat but press connect.2) The connection with an Echo dot is bluetooth. I tried connecting to my old first generation Echo and it seemed to connect with the DocklinQ sitting next to the Echo as recommended in the instructions. However, when I moved the DocklinQ Pro to another room plugged it in to the sounddock, the Echo used its internal speaker. I don't know if the old Echo couldn't handle the distance or if it wasn't really bluetooth enabled. It wasn't desirable to have the speaker and microphone from the Echo in different rooms anyway so I removed the connection from my Echo using my Alexa App. My primary purpose for this thing was to use the DocklinQ with my phone so I didn't spend any time trying to debug it.

wow! i bought this particular brand after seeing the great reviews. it was rather simple easy to connect to bluetooth and have it work instantly! i highly recommend it!

Purpose of buying this device:The Harman Kardan Go+Play is a great speaker set that became non-useful when updating away from a dock-style iPhone. Buying this device is to permit the speakers to be used wirelessly from any Bluetooth source.Pros:- Adds new (and wireless!) life to Harman Kardon Go+Play speakers- Easy setup: plug in, pair within phone's Bluetooth menu, play music- Good range (flawless at 20 feet and through an interior wall - good enough for me)- Small size means it should fit onto any 30-pin dock (see photo).(NB "INVERY" logo is prominent on the device but lighting in my photo has made the logo *appear* to be non-existant.)Indifferent (to me):- Internal battery and 3.5mm audio jack output means it can be used as a Bluetooth adapter for almost any speakers(must be recharged through dock or dock cable)Cons:- Boxed OK but not wrapped inside the box - so micro-scratches haze the top of the front of the device (see second photo)- Portable Bluetooth speakers are available at the same range as the $26 I paid for this DockLinQ and other audio Bluetooth adapters (e.g. the dedicated device I bought to use with my car stereo) are much cheaper. Having the dock option feels overpriced.Rating:- Price and cosmetic condition on delivery make this a 3* product for me. I am certain it should not cost anywhere as much as $26... however, it is a neat solution to bring this speaker set back into action. The *result* (if not the product itself) makes me happy enough to bump my rating to 4*.This device arrived on Jan 11, 2019 and has played flawlessly through 2 album's worth of music so far today. If that performance ever changes in the future, I will definitely return to update my review.

I love, love this! Had an old Bose dock speaker than we have not been able to use since upgrading iPhone a few years back. This was due to my Bose dock 2 was not compatible with the Bluetooth! I ordered this product and to my surprise I’m up and running listening to that perfect sound quality that Bose is known for! It’s so easy to pair with your iPhone and you cannot beat the low cost of this device! Now when we are in the pool the music is blaring and we love it!

So far I am very pleased! I didn’t think I would find an adapter for my Bose docking station I have in my office at work , and found this one and it was easy to pair and works amazing! Even better I received in 1 day

Worked as advertised on my 2012 Victory XCT. Just garage tested waiting for warmer weather so I hop the same results apply while out for a ride. Only one issue is unable to get the Bluetooth to connect to my Garmin XT but I can live with that as long as we get the music thru the system.I wish there was a way to update the current system to get it up to 2025.
