First i wanna talk about the delivery i got this 3 day after i order so good delivery nice package. Now let's talk dnd (dungeons & dragons?) This is a tabletop rpg game it's nice. Alot of people think that essential kit is better than starter set cos it just cost 6 more dollars and in Indian rupees 500rs more but i will prefer starter set cos it's have everything thing u need to play and essential is kinda like side mission cos it added so many unnecessary but it's great for whom who likes to side quest but if u buy both for 38 dollars or in Indian rupees 3100 then it would be more better. The only thing that i dont like is they don't include a DM screen (dungeon master screen) but they do include in essential kit. It really a nice tabletop game to playEdit after playing a 12 day campaign i willtell u to get some things to make your experience betterLet's start with 1 get a screen (dugons master) screen 2 u should get some minis or make 2d miniature becoz it's hard to keep in mind where they are players and monster yourself 3 get a map 4 character sheet not really needed becoz this includes character sheet but it's pre filled and fo rnew players it's so hard to make a character but it's good to make ur own character give 5 get a extra pair of dice for your players not necessary but good and 6 get a dice tray or tower becoz many times it fall in from table not necessary either but good to have 7 get spells miniature thing so u don't have to keep in mind where the spell is and how long is the spell

This Starter Set is all you need to start playing Dungeons and Dragons (you'll need a few friends too, but that's kinda obvious, eh?).This set includes -- a 32 page Rule Book : contains all the essential rules pertaining to combat, roleplay and rollplay in d&d 5th edition. The 5th edition is very streamlined , and you'll be up and ready after a read or two.- a 64 page adventure : Lost Mine of Phandelver. This is a very well made adventure, easing you into its world, introducing you to different rules and scenarios in a step by step manner, and all the while staying exciting and entertaining. It is straightforeward and railroaded in the beginning (which is good, since you're supposed to be beginners), but starting with the second chapter it becomes totally sandboxy and will allow the players a lot of choices and creativity. All the creatures and monsters that you shall encounter through the adventure are also depicted inside, and the art is mostly very beautiful. And yes, there is also a dragon encounter.6 polyhedral dice : very good quality dice. Any one i show these dice to, is amazed at the quality, especially of the d20 (20 sided dice). Now , the cheapest set of polyhedral dice on amazon is 295 bucks, and i am pretty sure they will NOT be close to these dice in quality. Quality matters here, not only in terms of looks, but also because unbalanced dice could possibly ruin your game ! So you're getting a really good deal here.5 pregenerated character sheets, 1 blank character sheet : you'd be best off getting out photocopies of these. Though even if you loose them, they're available online for free.Ok, that's it. That's all there is in the box. No minis or anything. It does seem too little in-the-box for this price point, and physically, it is. But don't worry. What is inside the box, promises you hours and hours and hours of fun. Say, if you play weekly with friends, for a few hours everytime, this adventure is going to last you a couple of months !! And even then, the campaign is very replayable. It doesn't end there ! There are some more adventures available for free online.Once you have sqeezed dry this awesome package, it's time to buy the Player's Handbook, (and also the Monster Manual), and then you'll be ready to craft your own adventures !

The packaging is amazing. No damage whatsoever. Price point could have been lower. But I would still recommend this if you want to try out D&D5eComes with a per-written adventure printed on glossy paper, which will last you for several weeks of play. A set of polyhedral dice, though its quality is average at best. Filled Lv1 character sheets and a starter rule book, which is limited compared to the free basic rules you can get from their original website. But this starter set is more that enough to give you a solid taste of what D&D is all about.

It's quite good package for 1st time players.Overall quality of the product including the rule set booklet and dice is pretty amazing

See there's no easy way to start Dungeons and Dragons. If you think you want to buy a game and start playing it from the next day, PLEASE DO NOT BUT THIS GAME. RPG's have some serious mechanics. They seem complicated at first. But when you understand them and know 'em all, you will enjoy this game unlike anything ever. You will just want to go deeper and deeper. You just need some patience. It took me about a week to know the rules with help from YouTube. And even after knowing the rules, you need experience and an open mind for really enjoying it. You just need some patience. Anyway the product was brand new (5 star to the seller too) and if you want to buy buy Starter set AND Essentials kit. That way it'llhelp more. No complaint in the campaign, it was good. And I am totally hooked up. Hope this review helps......

The quality is good. A couple more adventure would have been nice but hey I found a bunch online anyways. A set of 4 PC minis would have been nicer! Just even cheap plastics would have made me real happy! Just feels like they could have done a touch more for the price. Or maybe its just my Indian mindset eh?But I'm glad I got the damn thing. Really enjoyed reading the rule book end to end and taking apart the story to see what I would change about it.....now I just need to find a group to play with and DM for! Cause I've never done either before....Oh and Cheers Matt Mercer and this one's all because of you!!
