Summit Slide converter - excellent product
We bought this Summit Slide converter to convert over 600 slides. It is easy to use, simple in its concept. I converted the 600 or so slides over a period of 2 days, so now we enjoy looking at 'the good old days' digitally! Summit Photofix Copier SP2You can lighten and darken your slides, we found that some slides that were quite poor and dark could be lightened and you could see them betterand vice versa light ones darkened to see the images.we are more than pleased with this product and would recommend. Its good fun to see all those old images again!Excellent value too.

Honestly, just save your money or get something better
The images you get from this copier are very poor. You get some software which will enable you to enhance and increase the contrast etc of your slides but all it boils down to be is a low image resolotion camera. If you have an absalute spot on, pin sharp slide you may just about get a copy enough to about 6" x 8" but anything else or any original which isn't top notch isn't worth the bother.

Sounds too good to be true, but..
I bought this to transfer old family slides onto disk. All I can say is it doesn't do it very well. Takes time to get slides in and then manually push them through the scanner. Picture quality is poor, no shadings. I hear it is much better if you are scanning film negatives. I hope so.

Simply... frustrating.
Opening this product revealed grammatical errors on both the CD itself and the manual... Not a great start. After installing the driver and software I plugged the machine in and tried digitalising my Grandfather's beautiful slides! The most frustrating thing about this is, after 'calibrating' with no slide, you can see in the live view (BEFORE it adjusts exposure) your slide as you would like to have it on your computer. The machine then proceeds to overexpose the image, and there is nothing you can do (that I could see in the manual) about it. The software looked fairly shoddy and was slow, and the plastic trays were difficult to open and felt cheap. There HAS to be something better for this job.

Fantastic Service
Recieved very quickly, and packaged very well.Although I had a small problem the seller replied the same day and refunded money in speedy time too.Would deal again with this seller as problem was not his / her fault but was made good with no problem at all.
