What I like most is the feature that detects a live wire without touching the wire. I had recently removed a exhaust hood from over my oven to get ready to install a new microwave. I couldn't do the job all in one day so when I returned I had forgotten which circuit breaker to shut off to begin work again. The proximity detector worked out perfectly.I rated the accuracy lower because it detected my AC line voltage at 122.6 volts. That is higher than what it actually is as measured with a calibrated instrument. I also strongly suggest that if you plan to use the alligator clips to buy a separate set of leads instead of using the adapter clips.Otherwise a very nice meter.

I like being able to get out of auto range and both my GREENLEE DM-200 . My very old radio shack micronta 22-185a does not have auto range. Auto range is fine yet there are times where you get a more precise reading being out of auto range. So far I checked both DC volts and ohm /resistance to my radio shack model and they were very close. I thought the back light would be nice yet it also turns on the built in flashlight . Since mine came with no manual I am not sure if both are always on , if so this is just a battery waste and I can live quite well without it. It also takes longer to zero out when using ohms . It's similar with the function switch to my GREENLEE . I got this as a back up and for the temp reading function and hoping the cap reading works , neither on the two I own have this feature. I could live without the BEEP every time you move the control knob . The worst thing is installing the battery . you can't snap in the 9 volt battery contacts without holding the short lead contact with something and it it's not secure it will power off. I have not used it to perform any actual tests just to see if what I use most works DC volts and ohm and I do use current draw which I have not tested yet. I looked at quite a few DVOM's on Amazon and this one didn't have many reviews yet were all good and it was in my price range . If I could afford a Fluke that's what I would aim for . This in no way implies less expensive brands are not good enough. It appears even if I spent 3 times as much with many more reviews I still have found enough bad ones to steer me away. I am just being honest here a review can be anything what counts is how a product works in your world that matters. I emailed the manufacturer asking about the warranty and the seller. I do want to add I have contacted the seller 4 times each with a different question , each time was contacted back the same or the next day. I was emailed an manual and specs , given the warranty time and I asked if there was setting other than auto range. I am not sure if the seller knows yet it is worth quite a lot to at least get a response and the on going invitation to ask anything I want. Not that I have money to toss out yet if this meter does fail I'm not out very much yet it still would be disappointing . I've been using volt /ohm meters well before the digital ones came out and still have an old radio shack analog , for both auto repair for over 45 years and building tube guitar amps and for checking house A/C circuits. Dropped my old radio shack DVOM and the screen went out then it some how recovered and works as well as it always has. The main thing I do not like is how the battery is installed , it did not need to be made like this there are other ways I just hope it lasts a good long time before I need to try to get it out. Just don't try to pull it out or you might find the very short leads to the circuit board follow it .

Needed a cheap multi-meter to check car battery voltage. This one comes with a couple of different connectors and a thermocouple, also batteries are included.It seemed accurate enough. I am also using the included thermocouple to test temperatures. It's easy to check the calibration (ice water should be around 32 Fahrenheit/ 0 Celsius and boiling water 212 Fahrenheit/ 100 Celsius). It's useful for checking oven or BBQ operating temperatures.

I really love this meter, it's very well made, the screen is very easy to read. So far it's been very accurate easy to use. I really like the design of this meter, it has a place to hold the probes and what I like most is that it has a slot in the back of the meter to hang the unit on a wall for storing the meter when not in use.I have mine stored under my workbench.

The good:I have had this for about ten days. So far it has worked great. I used it for my car project of installing a new radio/head unit with a manual switch for a backup camera. The steering wheel controls for volume etc. on the radio depend on generating a variety of different resistance values, so having a digital readout was very helpful. I had to add a resistor of the right value to get everything working and the multimeter was invaluable.I like the overall feel of the device. I like the controls. I like the variety of options and I love that it is auto-ranging.The weird:It says it has an operating temperature range of 18°C to 28°C. That's 64°F to 82°F. That seems like an awfully limited range for a general electronic device. Other similar multimeters are listed as 0°C to 40°C.The alligator clip adapters are absolutely useless. The standard probes are supposed to slide into them but, they just fall out. Even in theory, the way they are manufactured, they couldn't possibly work.I disassembled my unit to check on the fuse type. It says the right port is fused for 630 mA. I couldn't find a fuse anywhere inside.

(Updated.) It’s still true that it BEEPS! excessively, ridiculously. Every. Single, Position of selector knob… I opened it up, stuck some electrical tape over the piezo, at least toned it down a bit. Then I put it through a few paces, made some typical voltage, resistance, continuity, capacitance measurements. Works fine. Even with the tape, I can still hear the continuity beep, which is totally real time responsive. Disregard other reviews that say there is some sort of delay. It’s a simple analog circuit, real time. I routinely use continuity test (beep) for checking studio audio cables etc, and as soon as contact is made, the beep is on solid, and if there’s any break in connection the beep cuts out. So it’s totally as I expected on that front. I’ll check out the other functions (temp, diode transistor) and update this review if needed. For me the high capacitance range is useful. I have other cap meters that will ready lower but top out around 1 uF. This meter goes up to huge caps way bigger than I’ll need to measure. I also checked out the diode test function, and it supplies enough voltage and test current to actually light LEDs, and shows the forward voltage drops as expected. All in all, a really good deal.

Great meter for the money .. Had one probe accidentally break tough job, reached out to the seller last night woke up this morning and there was a new set in the mail as the seller promised but the meter performs extremely well important very precise and also has a complimentary flashlight which quite useful along with the back lit LCD when turned on lights your working area up .. A lot to choose from but for price and quality .. I'm impressed

電圧・電流・抵抗・コンデンサ容量・トランジスタ・など色々測定したくて、こちらを購入しました。色々測定しましたが、hFEは少し低い値が出ます。他は大体データシートどうりの値でした。本体サイズがコンパクトで取り回しが良く使いやすいです。マニュアルは英語ですが販売元に問い合わせしたらpdfの日本語マニュアルすぐ送って頂き対応も良かったです。趣味程度で色々測定してみたい方はおすすめです。
