This is the same tether that is available at any ...
This is the same tether that is available at any Polaris dealership. It plugs directly into the forward wiring harness under the velcro cover on the left side of the sled, no reason to splice wires. This is the seventh one of these I've purchased over the last 20 years. The part number changed at some point but it's otherwise the identical part. The only issue I've had is they can ice up and either delay killing the engine when pulled or not close the circuit when plugged in.A Tether is the most important safety feature on any snowmobile. The fact that new snowmobiles don't come with these if baffling, because all new Ski-Doos come with a tether.

Fits rmk pro
Fit perfect on my 2019 rmk pro, instructions make you believe you have to cut and splice wires but the plug is in a wire protector pouch with the wiring going to handlebars

Great OEM product
Exactly what I was looking for. OEM plug-n-play to my 2017 Assault. Works perfect. Just had to drill one hole for placement on the snowmobile.

Old technology. need to catch up to Cat on this
It could definitely be updated to a magnetic design... thisbis old school same design on my kids 15 year old 120

Quick and easy install!!
Super easy to install with OEM connection. Makes sled much safer if the throttle were to stick.

should be standard
Why this is an optional item on Polaris is beyond me. Seems standard on all other sleds. Plugs in to wiring harness. Easy install.

Piece of garbage
Had this tether on a 2013 rmk pro and I can't keep the sled running without having to play with the tether would not recommend buying

100 % backwards
Instead of a pull to kill switch. It is 100% backwards which is as it should be. Garbage
