Seems reasonably priced but didn't line up correctly with existing boot pattern, I had to modify the installation, also didn't come with all the bolts... If I had it to do over again I would go with a different one ...but price was cheap so I got what I paid for...

Nice, but needs some modifications
It's very heavy duty and seems well built. However, like others said, it will not fit a TJ without some modification. I have a 97 Sahara and all of the holes lines up perfectly. The only thing is that they will only line up once you grind about 1/4" inc off the back tab. The back tab does hit the swaybar mount and prevents the holes from lining up. I took my cutoff wheel and cut a little of the tabs off. It's thick and took a while to cut through which I was actually happy about because I would be worried if it wasn't strong metal and easy to cut through. The other thing I had to do was relocate my factory fog lights. The factory tow hooks won't mount correctly with this plate. The hole for the tow hooks are offset. So you can either mount them so the hooks are closer to the inside of the plate, which is useless because then they are actually behind the winch plate and you can't access them. Or you can mount them so they are closer to the outside of the plate which works great, but if you have factory fog lights, they will hit the lights unless you move them. This is what I chose to do. I just removed my fog lights and mounted them out further closer to the ends of the bumper which I actually like better.Like I said, the plate is heavy duty, and it does fit correctly with a few modifications.

Have a grinder ready for fitment on tj.
Read the reviews and expected to have to grind off the tabs on the side near the bolt for the swaybar on my 2001 tj. Took a couple of minutes. With that said this unit is well built and heavy duty.

Tabs at sway bar don't fit stock 2000 TJ
To the best of my knowledge, there is no customization to my front end. While there were no instructions, I found some for a different vendor on YouTube and my front end looked exactly like what they disassembled. But the tabs, shown in the attached pics, that I guess are supposed to fit snugly on the bearings of the sway bar, do not. I don't have the tools to cut, so had to use vice grips to bend (as shown in one of the pics). Still, the right side bolts didn't properly align :(Instructions would have been helpful. The YouTube video of the competitor installation also contained the bolts pictured, while the unit I received did not. No big deal, as I obviously had the bolts (although replaced ones on the sway bar as the old ones were rusted). It did come with the winch mounting bolts, as did the winch... so I had two of each. I reused some of the washers underneath the plate at the sway bar bolts, as it's not level with the bumper.Otherwise, looks very sturdy.

Great winch base for a bumper project
Great winch base for a bumper project. This saved me a ton of time not having to manufacture the winch mount. The steel is good quality and matched up perfect with my Rugged Ridge winch.

I like the raised center mount for the winch
The bracket is well made for the cost. I like the raised center mount for the winch. Maybe some of the people that reviewed this do not know which Jeep model they have because this definitely does not fit a YJ (87-95) frame exactly. Only one set of the three bolt holes one each side lines up with the frame bolts holes and they are still off by about 1/8". You will need to elongate the holes for the plate to fit a YJ and you will also have to drill the second set of 1/2" holes. But for $60 delivered, I still think it is a good deal as long as you have some minor fabrication skills.

Five Stars
Fits perfectly. No problems.

Doesn’t fit TJ/LJ without modification
Does not fit without slight modification. Not a big issue for me, but I also wasn’t expecting to need to modify a brand new part that says it’s a direct fit. The area circled in the picture is where the plate has to be cut before it will bolt on. The bolt holes do line up perfectly after that.
