In 1949, Mr. Kihachiro Onitsuka began his athletic footwear company (Onitsuka Co., Ltd.) by manufacturing basketball shoes out of his living room in Kobe, Japan. He chose the name ASICS for his company in 1977, based on a famous Latin phrase "Anima Sana In Corpore Sano," which, when translated, expresses the ancient ideal of "A Sound Mind in a Sound Body." Taking the acronym of this phrase, ASICS was founded on the belief that the best way to create a healthy and happy lifestyle is to promote total health and fitness. Today, ASICS offers a full line of performance-driven athletic shoes and technical active sports apparel and accessories dedicated to bringing harmony to the body and soul.

AVID Volleyball Player
I've played in college and have been pretty picky about shoes in the past.Asics typically can last easily over a season and should make it through 2 season with good grip if only used for indoors. I don't bother wearing any of my volleyball shoes outdoors. These shoes fit true to size and are snug. I wear 10.5 and ordered the same size. they fit great. I thought they had good air flow, my feet didn't get hot. Grip is amazing, the sides are gum wrapped and more rounded to prevent ankle sprains. The vents at the bottom help a lot. The shoe has a bit more of a firm structure on the toe section because of the plastic (which I believe will help the shoe last longer).I also have little to no arches and these shoes are very comfortable. The moldable gel always draws me to Asics shoes and the Gel Domains are no different. After a weeks or two the gel molds to your feet making it even more comfortable and helps with impact when you land after jumping. The blue is really as blue as it looks in the picture. They mail you black laces as well. I received a lot of complements. After playing at high levels since college and post college these truly are worth the money.I ordered 1 day shipping with Prime which was only 3.99 extra, it was in my house within 15 hours of ordering. These would go well with any quick indoor moving sports. Badminton, Squash, racquetball, table tennis etc.As an extremely picky shoe person, I would highly recommended these.

Great Shoe... comfortable, solid support & lighter than expected
I'm a long time, AA level player and have been through the gamut of shoes over the last 23 years of playing Vball. To be honest, I'm partial to Asics and have worn mostly Asics for the last 15 years since graduating high school. Size 14 isn't easy to find in my neck of the woods, let alone vball shoes for men, so thought I would try Amazon. The last pair of Asics I got were not a good fit for me at all. Only wore them for a couple of tournaments before having to retire them due to fit. These fit nicely and have good overall structure. I have normal width feet with a high arch, and I don't experience any pain in these after wearing for a couple of hours. The top part of the toe is a little soft, so you have to get used to lacing them down tight, but not a complaint, just a note on usage.Enjoy!

Will never use a different shoe for indoor courts again
I wear asics cleats, running shoes, and now indoor court shoes. I wear an 8.5 in all of them and it fits just fine. The shoe is very comfortable to me and it makes a HUGE improvement to your mobility on any indoor court. I use it to play volleyball, racquetball, and occasionally basketball. I think it works great for all them.I am a very agile person and this shoe helps me out a lot. I switched to an indoor court shoe from a running shoe and honestly will never go back. I was skeptical at first but the amount of grip you get from this shoe is worth it.When it comes to jumping I feel like the sore gives good support. My knee doesn't seem to bother me as much when wearing these shoes.I will definitely be buying an indoor court shoe again when this one wears out.

Fit & Feel Great!
The shoes fit like a glove, and felt extremely comfortable. I wore them around the house a bit to make sure they were the right size and to "break them in". The first outing I wore them for a 2-1/2 stint at volleyball. The first I played in many years. The shoes performed well, never slipping on the gym floor, and no fatigue either. The next morning, everything on my body was sore, except for my feet! Great feel and performance. My only negative thought is that they are a little too flashy for my taste with the glossy blue. Minor thing really, it is all about performance, and these perform! Would recommend them to anyone that wants a great indoor court shoe.

PickleBall play indoors is why I buy these shoes!
As recommended by previous reviewers, I ordered a 1/2 size larger than my normal size 9 I get from New Balance.I am remise to understand why Asics cannot make sizes in line with US Size? Hello? The shoe sole and feel is perfect for high speed cuts and quick moves required with Pickleball .... I love the feel to the floor , like I am in padded socks. Very interesting. At same time the stability of heal is strong, so I have to roll over fear.I really dislike the lacing, when compared to New Balance. The Gel shoe lacing slips and that is NOT good! I have to check lacing very often....rarely required with a high end comparable New Balance.

Good shoes for epee fencing
I use these for fencing epee. Great grip, extra durable material where you need it in a fencing shoe and great padding on the heel.I've worn them for about 4 months and they're holding up quite well. I use SuperFeet orthotics in them, so I can't comment too much on comfort straight out-of-the-box, but with the orthotics they're great. They feel a bit wide on my back foot sometimes, but I just tighten the laces and that seems to do the trick--I don't think I'd recommend sizing down on the width, though.I haven't tried any of the fencing shoes on the market, but if you don't like any of the sub-$100 offerings there and the $175 Nike Ballestras a bit rich for your blood, these are a good alternative. On sizing, I got an 11.5, and the length is spot-on. For reference, I wear an 11 in Converse all-star and an 11.5 in Asics gt 2170 running shoes.

Good shoes for P90X/2/3
I do P90X, P90X2, and P90X3. I mix the workouts, sometimes incorporating a bit of Insanity too. Tony is constantly telling you not to use running shoes, but before getting these, I was using Brooks PureFlow 3 light running shoes, because I have gimpy joints and high-impact workouts made me knees hurt in every other shoes I tried. I would still use the PureFlow 3s for very high-impact workouts like Insanity or the Plyometrics workout from the original P90X, but these are good for most P90X workouts, and they would probably be fine for people with better joints.

Good enough for court games
Practiced 3 times in badminton games and it did meet my expectation. Comfortable and perfect grips when in court. The only issue is the stuffy feeling after game.

I've owned a few pairs of Asics over the years so I knew my size. Shoes fit perfectly and are very comfortable. They arrived only in a few days - much quicker than expected! Thanks!
