Don't Forget to Write for the Elementary Grades: 50 Enthralling and Effective Writing Lessons (Ages 5 to 12)

It isn't exactly what I need for my purposes. However, it has excellent lesson ideas for a classroom teacher to get elementary students to write, which is half the battle in teaching writing. Students will be having so much fun with the project aspect of it that they will not even feel like they are in a "writing class."

This book is awesome. My youngest son, who did not enjoy writing, found lots of creative writing topics that he was able to write about. He learned about character development and analysis, in such a way that he uses the method even when he is reading a story and has to break it down for a literary analysis.

This book is incredible! I teach fourth grade and really struggle to find ideas that are fun for writing. (Teachers turn so many kids off of writing in elementary with worksheet after worksheet.) This book is the answer! I immediately found lessons I could adapt to fit with novels I'm teaching as well as social studies content that I need to cover.I can't believe this book was only 15 bucks. It's a steal!

Our daughter loves it, but since we home school her, there are a lot of exercises geared towards group work.

Fabulous resource for every teacher. Whether you are teaching writing or reading, this will help keep the imagination a part of the process. Provides standards matching as well which is a God send for teachers needing to fill in their lesson plans with accountable objectives. Would not use this secondary version with students in grades lower than high school but would use it with college age and adults classes.

Love this. My boys struggle with writing, but this keeps it light and fun.

This is a GREAT book!! I looked through it briefly and I was very impressed. I bought this for my 9yo author who sometimes struggles with ideas for her stories. This will come in VERY handy over the summer!!

I love 826, and this book does not disappoint. I'm a creative writing teacher for 3rd grade. The lessons in the book are engaging, develop creativity, and address all genres of writing. My kids love the activities and it gives me a ton of great ideas to incorporate into my own lessons. The lessons are also easily modified for various grade levels and abilities.
