ZOYA Nail Polish

This color is BEAUTIFUL!!! I wore it for Christmas 🎄 this year, instead of sparkly red. Using Static Nails base coat and Sally Hansen Fast Dry top coat, this polish lasted 3 days on my hands and 3 weeks on my toes. I never use anything but Static Nails sheer pink on my hands and it lasts 7-10 days. Big difference. My toenail polish never chips. I do wash my hands a lot, but still! I wore the green on my hands for my birthday weekend. It looked so good! It’s absolutely gorgeous in sunlight. Overall, I’m very happy with it, but I won’t wear it on my hands again, except for a special event next Christmas season. A very nice change from red!

The bubble wrap around the little polish box was marked with Merida but the box itself and the nail polish was actually a milky white color that looks like donut glaze called Adel. Could be a quality control issue from the manufacturer so I didn't want to chance it again and got the Merida at Ulta. I love Zoya polish and it's the only one I buy. Great brush, less chemicals, and with a primer and top coat it lasts a while. The Merida is a beautiful deep emerald green with little holographic specks. Gorgeous.

In the picture, I am wearing a Seche Clear base, 2 coats of Zooey, and 2 coats of Seche Vite top coat. I was able to start doing things within 20 minutes of application, and I was completely dry by the time I went to bed a couple of hours later. If you've ever used Zoya polishes before, then you know they are quality polishes. If you haven't ever used them before, then that's what you should know, and Zooey is no different. This is a textured polish, which I believe most, if not all of the polishes in their Pixie Dust line are. If you have never used a textured polish before, then you should know a few things about them: as the name implies, it is textured, so it dries bumpy. This can be a little weird if you are not used to or expecting it. The color itself is also a little matte, though the glitter continues to shine. I am wearing two coats of color, but it is pigmented and opaque enough that if you are really in a rush you could likely get away with just one coat of color if needed. If either the texture or the matte color are not your jam, you can address this easily with a good glossy top coat, but be aware you will need more than one to completely smooth out the surface (in my pic, I am wearing 2 coats of Seche Vite, which is good enough for my needs, but it is still slightly bumpy if I run my fingers over my nails. I would think you might need 3, or even possibly 4, top coats to get a truly smooth surface.) I personally like textured polishes for several reasons. First, my experience is these polishes tend to dry really quickly, so if you are in a time crunch, it's a great, high-impact go-to. I also find these types of polishes to be very forgiving - as you can probably tell, I have some wonkiness in my ring finger nail (where it fans out on the free edge, causing a little "dip" on the sides at the point where it leaves the nail bed, and this is a place where polishes LOVE to pool. Metallic/holo polishes almost never look good on my nails because between my still-developing painting skills and uneven nail plates, I just can't paint a straight line. Not a problem with textured polishes.) Lastly, I find these polishes tend to lend additional strength to my nails. I assume it is at least partly the glitter. But it is a nice reprieve from needing to use specific nail treatments, which tend to be limited in their colors (and possibly not even necessary, depending on the condition of your nails. Nail Envy and their ilk, and keratin nail treatments really should only be used short-term.) One of the cons of this polish (and any glitter polish, really) is you are really going to need an acetone remover (preferably pure) unless you want to spend hours trying to get it off. I personally don't have an issue with this as I tend to wear my polish for at least a week before I redo, and I regularly oil my nails and cuticles, so I am mostly able to deal with any dehydration caused by pure acetone, but this may be a consideration for some. A quick note: the picture on the listing is pretty true, though the description states "Zooey by Zoya can be best described as a classic pink, textured PixieDust laced with a fine thread of gold." If you are going by this description instead of the picture, you might be disappointed. This is absolutely a coral-based color, not what I think of when I think "classic pink with a fine thread of gold." I didn't deduct stars for this since I was hoping for what was in the picture, but would have also been happy with a color that was closer to the description. But it's something you should be aware of if you are looking for a specific color.

Beautiful and bright color. Got this for Taylor swift show girl nails and Halloween and will definitely try more from this brand. We did 2 coats and even without a top coat it has been staying strong on a health care worker and small child hands

Love this polish. Just a hint of color and it last along time no chipping. I use it for an all over nail protection and shine.

I really love this nail polish! I got it for Taylor Swift’s album drop, but it’s also perfect as a fall or Halloween color with its gorgeous orange sparkles. It seems stronger than the nail polish I usually use—I typically stick with a different brand, but this is the only one I could find with this exact shade. I might even switch over to this brand for all my nail polish in the future! I did about three thinner layers because it is a little bit transparent if you just do one thin layer. I just read recently that it is better to do a bunch of small layers rather than one really thick layer that takes a long time to dry. And I have definitely found that to be true and that it lasts longer. This photo is after three days of wear. Find this “helpful” if you’re a swiftie ☺️😉

Great color! It’s sheer but also gives a nice shine and polished look. If it chips you can barely notice.

I started using the Zoya nail polishes about a month ago, and loved how it feels on my nails. This colour is super shimmery and looks really pretty.
