What size will fit newborn should i get 0-3 months

I got a newborn size for my son and he was 5lbs 5oz at birth newborn fit him a bit big he was in preemie for 1 Month but he grew into it he got to use it till he was 3 months so this time around (pregnant with a bby girl) were getting 3 to 6 months since that will be her size around winter...true to size but I've always had small babies ...my first 3 were 5lbs and a few ounces and my 4th was 7lbs 2oz (I felt was huuuge) but later found out thats normal or average should I say ...my last one baby #5 is now 14 months and weighs 18lbs 8oz
