Sound Alone is Worth Price of Admission...
Installed this K&N intake set up over 5 years and 75K miles ago and it performs just as good now as it did then. The sportier intake sound alone is worth the price of admission! It was fairly easy to install. If you can build Legos or model cars/planes/etc., you can do it. This can also save money in the long run as it is recommended to replace the stock filter every 10-15K miles at a cost of roughly $25 each (OEM BMW) and this one will never need to be replaced, just cleaned and oiled every 25K miles on average. Over 100K miles, the cost ends up being roughly the same as this entire reusable kit. It also comes with a CARB legal sticker to pass the visual smog inspection in California. Solid buy.

Roar
Love it. It does give a little roar to it. Idk if i feel the plus 7hp, but most probably does increase it.

Can hit headlight assembly however improvement on performance and sound
Works well added some pep and added sound, well design and fit however it can be tight near the headlight assembly so be careful it doesn't tear filter end

i don't see $300 worth of product or engineering
i paid $350 for this. i overpaid. i just don't see $300 worth of product or engineering. K&N filter is great. but.... GO BUY A LESS EXPENSIVE VERSION. i'm keeping it. it's not worth my time to undo it.I'm not a mechanic. The instructions say it takes 1.5 hrs to install. It only took me 3 hrs and one trip to the hardware store. I kept dropping the locking nuts in places where I couldn't recover them.

Delivers Performance as Promised + Bonus MPG
Easy to install- took me about 30-40 minutes- a decent mechanic could do it in 10! LolVERY noticeable improvement in performance off the line and on the road- deepens up the exhaust sound a little too.Over two tanks of gas my vehicle computer over all average is up 1.4 MPG and that includes me having an occasional heavy foot because of the new improved performanceWell worth it!!

Breath damn you!
This intake was easy to install, a little awkward to screw in you need about 3 hands for one part. This made a big change in feel and performance, who knew letting your car breathe would make such a difference... Great product and quick shipping.--1996 BMW 328i (e36)

Yes it sucks-air. Easy installation and well made. You can hear it suck the air. Follow the instruction sheet and it really takes very little time to complete the job.

A complete crap!!!!
A complete crap ... In amazon confirm that fits on my BMW E46, when I take out the package the instructions said that only fits on the E36 and I could not install it and I lost all my money... Once again a complete crap!!!!
