The stylish Portare' PMB1 multi use Messenger bags have the ability to transform from a camera bag, to an office bag, to an overnighter. So whether you’re going on a photo walk, hopping between coasts, heading to the beach/mountains or taking your glass with you on a bike ride, this is all the bag you will need. Your gear is cushioned & protected by the unique Portare’ Insert (PIN1-G). The insert is large (14.5 x 8 x 4 Inches) & is generously cushioned on ALL sides. Its movable dividers & extra deep design allow for infinite configurations to safely carry most lenses & accessories & DSLR bodies w/attached lenses. Unlike other inserts, it zips up completely so you can use it by itself; to free up the messenger bag or convert any other bag in a gear carrier (some say its 2 bags for the price of 1). The Portare’ PMB1 has a cushioned laptop pocket (16 x 10 x 1.5 Inches) & padded iPad /tablet pocket to carry both at the same time, why chose? It’s made from a heavy duty canvas treated with a special process, to make it impervious to liquids. The raised sides of the bag also protect against dust/dirt & liquids. The shoulder strap is made from the same soft yet incredibly strong belting as seatbelts & the stylish leather shoulder pad makes it even more comfortable. Tripods can be carried by the removable straps on the bottom. The front pocket has special slots for memory cards, pens, business cards etc. The inside has three more zippered mesh pockets. The back pocket unzips from top & bottom to allow the bag to be safely attached to the handle of a rolling bag. The special strap inside secures the bag onto the carry handle preventing sliding while you bustle across airports. A hidden lens cap pocket on the back of the bag allows you to shoot without removing your bag & never losing lens caps. Finally, the bag is dripping with genuine leather trims, aged metal fittings & discreet branding so make it look like you spent multiples of what you’re actually going to spend.

Great bag for gear-heavy user: Fits 15" Macbook Pro, Nikon DSLR with extra lens, GoPro, and more
I've had this bag for just over a year and it has held up quite well despite moderate to heavy use. I bought it right before my trip to Europe last summer because I wanted something a bit more inconspicuous than my default Nikon camera bag to conceal my DSLR. The Portare' was excellent for this purpose, as I was able to sling it over my shoulder and around my back to wear it as a stylish and comfortable messenger bag. I was able to carry my camera, an extra zoom lens, spare batteries, my GoPro, city maps, a bottle of water, light jacket, snacks for the day, etc... the point is you can really stuff this thing if you want. With all the padding and compartments, my gear was always safe and snug (even when caught in rainstorms, since it is under several layers of material). There are a lot of pockets to conveniently store things, so my sunglasses and spare coins were never far out of reach. My only problems occur when I overpack the bag, as there are times when it becomes very hard to snap the clasps closed. Also, the bag can become quite bulky, so when I am carrying my laptop along with camera gear, I have to be careful to not swing it around and hit people/obstacles when I walk. It can become heavy and tiring on the shoulders, because there is not a whole lot of cushion on the shoulder area of the strap. However, the zippered pouch on the back allows the bag to slip onto the handles of a rolling suitcase for ease of carrying along in the airport. I've also tried using the straps below the bag for carrying my tripod, but they were a bit too slick and the tripod kept slipping back and forth, which rendered that functionality somewhat useless (seemed like a nice idea though). Overall it has proven to be a great product that has continued to serve me well after several international trips and many weekend getaways. I would recommend it for someone who is looking for a way to protect and carry all of their gear in one bag-- laptop/tablet/DSLR/spare lenses. Just make sure to swing it around in front of you and hold it closed shut when using crowded subways/buses to avoid any theft.

Very nice...
I purchased for electronics holder for vacation. This will hold all my electonics plus chargers. I really like everything about it. Very nice. I needed something that was not black, visually I have trouble locating so I require contrast. This fills that bill. I almost sent it back because I don't care for the belt type closure. I thought they would be mostly visual like on purses but no. I may attach velcro underneath the flap. It is sturdy, well constructed, with good padding inside. It is large enough and not so large it is bulky. It is well designed on the inside for all the equipment I wanted to haul around.

Very poor quality for the money
I have had this bag and used it for approximately 9 months. While the design/layout is very good, the construction quality is not. I have had to repair the strap clips several times, and have had both pop loose at the same time, spilling things out of the bag. I switched to a Nikon Deluxe Digital SLR Camera Case - Gadget Bag , which is not quite as large (it holds my D3200 and 2 extra lenses and assorted stuff. It is much better built and costs 25% of what this bag costs.Sorry, there is no excuse for turning out a product this shabbily made for $130.Caveat emptor!

Finally! I found a great bag that fits my needs!
I've been looking for a long time for a camera bag that doesn't look like a camera bag. I've searched all the big box stores and even some department stores. Everything was black and you wore it like a backpack. I wanted something I could wear cross-body so I could shoot freely without worrying about holding onto my bag. I'd seen the Jill-e bags for women but they were more than I wanted to spend. Last year, I bought a large beige messenger bag at Aldo that ripped on the second day of my trip due to the weight of everything I carried. After searching for years, I decided to bite the bullet and spend some money on a good bag. And this bag doesn't disappoint. In the camera insert ALONE I was able to fit 2 lenses, a battery grip, an external flash and the camera base for my DSLR. Then there is still room for a tablet and a laptop or other things like wallet, makeup, snacks, camera rain gear, umbrella, etc.But that's not the only features it has. When you open the top flap, there are three zippered compartments right there next to the buckles. I was able to store all my memory cards in one, 3 li-ion batteries in the middle one and still have another pouch left over! That makes changing batteries/cards super easy! Then in front when you lift up the flap, there is another zippered compartment which has two more mesh pouches. Then there are a couple slots to put a pen, another 2 slots for small things like crackers/granola bars or battery charger. If that wasn't enough, there are two pockets on the side - water bottles! Now turn the bag around. There is a back zipper pocket you can use to store your lens caps, with a little pocket on the inside. There is also a zipper on the bottom to open up the back pocket and slide the bag onto your carry on with a strap running through the middle to hook the bag. This bag is simply amazing. I have never been able to put all my camera needs in one bag until now. I've always had to put my camera gear in a camera bag and put it in my carry-on which took up 1/2 of the carry-on. NOT ANYMORE! Plus, the added shoulder pad provides comfort when lugging around all this stuff. I don't usually take a tripod when I travel - but I like that you can attach it to the bottom. You don't realize how difficult it is to attach a monopod/tripod to a purse until you try.The only down side, if you can count it one, is that the Khaki bag is just a shade darker than it appears in pictures but it doesn't make one bit of difference for me. It's a large bag and I like that. I can wear this bag with any type of clothing and that is the main reason I wanted a messenger bag in beige. This bag is everything I've been looking for and more and I guarantee it will be for you too. This bag on the Portare website is $169.99. So save yourself the trouble (and potential shipping costs), and click 'Add to Cart'.

Looks great
Haven't used it yet, but it looks great, has some fabulous padding inside and an adjustable strap - which feels flimsy but is comfortable on the neck and seems secure. Will return to update after I have used it - whenever I next venture afield with my camera and its accessories. I like that it doesn't look like a traditional camera bag.

then it would be perfect for me
I should have never bought this bag...way too heavy for me with all my camera equipment and Ipad in it to carry over a shoulder. Also the one of the buckles broke immediately, which I need to get repaired. The bag sits in my closet. They should put little wheels on it so that you could roll it as well as carry it, then it would be perfect for me. I bought a discounted one.
